After 'having a gas' (cue the cheeky reply), I have realized that there are few people behind the scenes who are passionate about Rovers, one being Darrell Clarke. It seems that the Al-Qadi family do not follow football, and do not appreciate it, despite Hamer calling them 'committed' - however, we all know Wael is a lovely man, a gashead, and likes his fair share of football - hence why it was today revealed he has spent well over £10m within the two years he's been here, whilst securing the training ground land. But, we need to remember the butthurt children who filter there way into this forum who make thread after thread about Darrell leaving after each game, which I admit - I have done, but not a purely attack thread on him - but after tonight we need to realize how much this man has done for our club, and how we are so lucky to have him. We dont need any more negativity around the club, and sacking DC will not help our case, he's our man! So, why does he deserve our faith? • Released the players who didn't deserve to wear the shirt, and brought in free-agents who got us out of the Conference instantly. • Brought in players for the cheap that got us through League Two pretty easily. • Secured a top half finish in our first season back in League One. • Maintained a level side for the past 3 years despite having limited amounts of money for player wages. • Maintained loyal players, and sold slackers. • Loves the fans, respects them, celebrates with them. The reason why we are not doing better is because people are so negative and are looking for a head, and who best is Sir Darrell Clarke? Sit down. He loves us, we love him. We forget that. We are Darrell Clarke's barmy army.

Its a good time that you choose to ask fans to reflect. The options really are simple either fully support D.C. and the players he picks to play or don't.No point in being half hearted. Bringing negativity to the table will only bring more negativity. Doom and gloom will only hasten the apocalypse .....and who wants an apocalypse ?
So cheer every good thing a player does and try to hold your tongue when mistakes happen. Its what D.C. wants from the fans....can you deliver ?

When you look at what DC had achieved in his time with us it is nothing short of outstanding. Back to back promotions is incredible and consolidating last season was no mean feat. Anyone calling for his head at this stage is talking nonsense IMHO. He has made mistakes along the way, particularly this season, but name me a manager that hasn't. He is still young in management terms and will hopefully learn from those mistakes and be a better manager for it. We are lucky to have him and I look forward to him turning this season around and managing us for many years to come. UTG!!!

Huge responsibilities on DC ...he has broad shoulders but needs our support more than ever. He's been shafted and still keeps going and we need to respect that and help him in every way we can.

Was that £10 million of his own money? Football clubs have their own ways of financing things...

I’ll be eternally grateful to DC for the promotion seasons and the joy they brought to myself and my family. He must feel as let down by the owners as most of us fans do, and deserves so much better. If he received an offer from a more ambitious club and left at the end of the season, or before, I couldn’t blame him one bit and would wish him all the best.

I think its good that the recent dc interviews and hamers on twentyman have made it clear that we are league 1 at best for well forever. Thing is now dc and the team can just concentrate on getting enough points to secure our safety in league 1. Its all out in the open now in my view so manager, players and supporters can unite to help us stay in this division. Lets face it league 1 is our very own premier league and like walsall, rochdale, bury and gillingham we need fight to stay in it.

But surely there must be some ambition to go higher and better. I really thought on the last takeover I would finally see my team/club strive for better things on and off the pitch after 55 years of a few great memories but much more hardship. I was born blue & white and while tomorrow I will be at Blackburn part of my dream died whils't listening to Hamer. Not sure I can continue my support like I have over the years if the club is going nowhere -- just feel completely drained at present stuffing well and truly kicked out of me. Something surely has to change . Not for me but for the younger fans of tomorrow or i'm afraid we will see a lot more choose that horrible lot over the river. People want more comfort nowadays and better facilities which I can totally agree with. Anyway hopefully might come good in todays meeting. But i'm not holding my breath.

Yeah it's natural progression, but take a step back and look at rovers... After years of neglect we are nowhere near ready. DC said he'd get us back to mid table league 1, he's done that. A little wobble and some of the fan base have lost their patience already, it's ridiculous.
