Hamer previously said to 20man that D.C. would be given any money received from the sale of B.B.let’s see the business then.

Hamer previously said that D.C. would be given any money received from the sale of B.B. to 20man, let’s see the business then. I believe he will too. DC has proven he can make a profit from players he has signed. I'm sure our strategy will be to look for up and coming young players. This way they will demand lower wages and better potential investments.

Jack Vittles Verified account @jackvittles 12m12 minutes ago More Steve Hamer has confirmed that there is a sell-on clause in Bodin's #pnefc contract and that Rovers received more for Bodin than they did for Matty Taylor #utg #BristolRovers

"He'll decide what he wants, where he wants to improve things on the field of play and where he wants to freshen up things. "We'll have a chat and we'll back him as best we can."

This is why the bloke has no credibility he treats us as thick, says one thing one moment, then next something different guess that’s why he calls us the “new crazy gang,” well I ain’t crazy and have a good memory🤓

"He'll decide what he wants, where he wants to improve things on the field of play and where he wants to freshen up things. "We'll have a chat and we'll back him as best we can. If those are quotes from SH the key words that stand out for me are "I think" and "as best we can". Some nicely placed disclaimers from someone making a comment with no authority / clue what's going on.
In another thread there are suggestions that the training ground statement was put out there as a crude smoke-screen to divert attention away from the BB transfer, or to at least cushion the blow. However, maybe it was because of the transfer the club can now afford to finally nudge the development plans along..?!
I suspect the purpose of the transfer fee non-disclosure was to prevent the fans keeping tabs on how much is spent on re-investment in players in January (I mean, why would Preston care who knows the fee?). My guess is some of it will be creamed off to go towards the training ground with a proportion for new players.
