Sometimes you can have ambitious owners who make bad decisions about managers and have good managers with not so good owners. Despite not liking the guy, the Posh Chairman has backed his managers but perhaps they haven’t been as good as his ambitions. Rovers have a great manager who has to operate in limiting conditions with little disposable money. At Bournemouth they have both, good owners who back their manager and have done for some time and the best English manager in football (perhaps with Sean Dyche). When you get that combination, as we can see, anything is possible. UTG!

At least Peterborough have had a couple of cracks at the Championship, when was the last time we were at that level? The £21 million profit is not to be sniffed at and their approach has enable the posh fans the chance to watch the likes of George Boyd, Britt Assombalonga Lee Tomlin and Dwight Gayle strut their stuff and also bring in the likes of Marriott and Maddison, also now linked with multi million pound moves. They also improved their ground recently, building the Motorpoint Stand, which is a bit better than the couple of tents we have managed... Mcanthony has been at the club for 12 years though so its a bit unfair to compare him with our owners. I just think whats the point of selling loads of players at great profit but still being in league 1? Well its certainly better than not making any significant profit and being in L1

I havnt seen their accounts, are they rolling in money? I dont see peterbro as any great example of huge success to be honest.

So we can agree performance-wise there is not much in it, but in terms of transfer fees received, and even if you factor in transfer fees paid, they are still miles ahead of us. I dont know if they are rolling in money, but they certainly speculate to accumulate and no doubt they have more than one member of staff scouting for them. Getting us to part with over £300k for Nichols is some bloody achievement in hindsight.
