DC has said already, that he wanted bodies in before the Blackpool game. Should be an interesting few days.

Evil Post publishing trash to fill the pages with lists of players D.C. wont sign.
DC will be shopping at Poundland and will sign a few non league players rovers fans will be upset about until a year later when they get nicked by a championship club.

21-year-old former England U20 defensive midfielder Cameron Brannagan is set to complete a permanent move to Oxford from Liverpool. The youngster has made 9 first team appearances for Liverpool and played 14 times last season for Fleetwood. Now they are linked with the highly-rated England U20 World Cup winning GK Freddie Woodman from Newcastle.

for me our club do not have much in the way of connections at this level and in that context we are very No0n League. Poor, poor post. How do you know what connections the club have or have not got?

DC is notoriously a late participator and i find this very frustrating but being honest i don't hold out a great deal of hope after the poor summer of signings either with DC or the owners. Its going to be a long season in less we make at least 3-4 signings. for me our club do not have much in the way of connections at this level and in that context we are very No0n League. Not sure I agree with connections part off the top of my head since promotion from the conference we've loaned or signed players from Arsenal, Chelsea, Stoke, Swansea, Palace, QPR, Middlesbrough & Derby. Hardly a management team with no contacts ??

I may be wrong but it is just my feeling that our Manager does not have connections when it comes to new signings. Most of his signings have been highly questionable as regards number of appearances they have made whilst here.

Not so much connections that is the problem but just the whole setup in general. I do think he does well with what he has though with regards finances and good judge of character etc. I find your last sentence strange. What players do you refer to with that? All managers make good signings bad signings. However, 2 promotions and a profit on transfers I think he has done well so far. He just needs help going forward and we need a proper scouting set up.

GGMI, For me far too many loan signings have rarely made appearances and obviously there have been far more loan signings than permanent ones.He had far more connections when we were in the Conference and was abloe to sign players then who have proved to be good enough to go forward to League 2 and are good enough for mid table League 1. I am far from convinced that he has the knowledge of players who are capable of taking the club forward now. I very much hope he proves me wrong in this window and hopefully signs two or three before the weekend.

Stevek still can't get his head round the fact that "loan signings" does not mean 'straight into the first X1'. No thought that they may be here as competition for first X1 players. Or here as education for Premier League kiddies, etc.

Almost our whole squad has been signed by D.C. and we’ve fielded 11 starters plus subs in every game so I don’t agree with that at all.

I have to agree, i do question if DC has the ability to spot players at this level, i think he would benefit from DoF. However DC has probably worked most of his career by himself and i get the feeling he wouldn't want to work with anyone.

I very much hope he proves me wrong in this window and hopefully signs two or three before the weekend. I think he has always used loanees sparsely though. He likes to have a tight knit squad and look after them first and foremost. He is still a young manager so he will have less connections than someone more experienced. He shouldn't be doing on his own anyway though, which it seems too much like he is at the moment. There should be scouts going out and finding players with potential, bringing them to DC so DC can then make his own judgements, find out more about their attitude/character etc before making a judgement. The thing is it's no good having a good knowledge of players above as we won't have the budget for them. His knowledge of lower/non league is good and I trust him to get good value for money. The only real exceptions in the past year were Burn and Nichols. I do feel like you have this strange bias towards criticising Darrell, Steve. You're so critical of him considering he has gained 2 promotions with us.

Well here we are a week into the transfer window and not a sniff of anything happening other than selling our best players surely DC had in mind before the window opened who he wanted to sign don't leave it until the last few hours please give us some hope Your not allowed to have your worries or opinions on here... You just have to say in dc we trust ! Because that’s all you get back and it’s nothing to do with him it’s down to the backing he gets
