It just happened to be Blackpool typical, are next game! We will batter them and not be able to score and lose 1 - 0, Lumley man of the match. Ballbags!!! I actually think it works in our favour of he plays....

That's a shame as Lumley's worth 6 points to them in half a season.

QPR wanted 400k for him. Wouldn’t make a decision about a loan so we had to move on. I prefer a permanent keeper above a loan one, not the end of the world. Only time will tell but £400k sounds like a bargain to me. Definitely think he'll go for more than that in the future.

Unfortunately this isn't football manager and we don't have £400k to be throwing around, especially on a goalkeeper.

I'm a fan of Nichols to be fair but I know who would have won us more points to date.

Speculate to accumulate through, Posh make millions by picking up gems like Lumley and turning them into million pound players.

If we were talking about strikers I would agree with you as there is a good chance of making a good profit on your dosh. Clubs don't tend to spend fortunes on goalkeepers though and are not worth a £400k outlay as you're unlikely to see a return on it.

Peterborough signed Marriot for £400k, I wonder how much he'll end up going for...

Who cares? We've got 2 better keepers now. Lumley is a different class to our 2 keepers , not even open to conjecture.

Because they’ve obviously got other talent there and I think you’ll find they’re a championship club whereas we are a mediocre league 1 soon to be league 2 outfit devoid of any ambition fella

Not a brilliant shot stopper and commanded his box just as a keeper at this level should. He's a decent young keeper admittedly but we still shipped goals for fun with him between the sticks at the end of last season, and that was with 'in form' Sweeney infront of him. I've seen far more from Smith alone to justify not signing Lumley permanently.

Lumley did well for us last season but hes at least 3rd choice at QPR and has gone on loan to blackpool who have the same amount of points as us so he hasnt been able to progress yet in his career. Im backing the keepers at the club right now,i like smith especially.

All pretty irrelevant now isn't it.
Sounds like DC tried to get him back in the summer, according to others they didn't want to loan him out and wanted silly money for him. We moved on and got two permanent keepers in. We all know what happens when we spend all summer chasing one player!
I didn't see him play so cant comment if he is better than what we now have. Smith is starting to fit into the team quite well recently so lets concentrate on improving other areas of the team!

For me both our keepers have won promotions. Lumley has a fairly inexperienced past. Also- Ryan Sweeney anyone? That said- if a chance arose to sign sweens perm, I would. Cracking player in there, I knows it.

This included the last game v Millwall where midfield and defensive lapses cost us a game we were always chasing against a very good Millwall side and a game we had nothing to play for .
