I don't get the love in with Lumley? Not a brilliant shot stopper and commanded his box just as a keeper at this level should. He's a decent young keeper admittedly but we still shipped goals for fun with him between the sticks at the end of last season, and that was with 'in form' Sweeney infront of him. I've seen far more from Smith alone to justify not signing Lumley permanently. “We still shipped goals for fun with him between the sticks “ Perhaps you should compare our stats pre Lumley/Sweeney then after ,unbelievably we conceded 47 league goals with only 4 clean sheets before their arrival and after we conceded 23 league goals and kept 8 clean sheets which states the case. This included the last game v Millwall where midfield and defensive lapses cost us a game we were always chasing against a very good Millwall side and a game we had nothing to play for . And then look at how many we've shipped this season! It isn't even a debate when you compare the three half seasons of Puddy and Roos compared to Lumley compared to Smith and Slocombe. A goalie has to command his defence with confidence, as well as do the basics, that was the big difference with Lumley

Who cares? We've got 2 better keepers now. Afraid I can't agree with that! Smith and Slocombe have been average, Lumley was excellent. IF there is a possibility of Lumley being available permanently then he'd be a great loan. But DC needs to establish a permanent keeper. Smith has also been excellent in our recent games, he's even managed to save two pens!! (chances are he'll have a stinker now on Saturday!)

The two saves were irrelevant given that the ball went straight back to the taker who scored!

Can't we just back the players we now have? What's the point in going on about Lumley, DC clearly would have liked him, he wasn't available so we moved on and got in two solid keepers. I think Smith will become a top keeper for us over the next couple of years.

Really hoping Shrewsbury give Blackpool a tough match tonight in the Checkertrade trophy following them losing Saturday. Not the best prep playing 2 games before us on Saturday and we need all the help we can get away

17' - Big, big save from Lumley. Max Lowe makes a great run towards the box and slips in Payne, who is denied by the imposing Lumley. (0-0)

Been telling the Mrs all week that we’ve got Blackpool Saturday so I’m busy sat- swore we were at home! 😂🤪 whoops! If only the results weren’t plastered everywhere as I’d attempt to stick it out like we were! “Yeah good luck packing the house love I’ll see you later!” 😂🤣

Max Lowe is a good signing for Shrewsbury. Thought he was a snooker player? I've never heard of a snooker player called Max Lowe?

Not the best prep playing 2 games before us on Saturday and we need all the help we can get away Well Shrewsbury won on pens after extra time - That's not great preparation for our game playing in that cold and frost for so long only to lose again. No excuses Saturday we should be getting a result in this game - over to you DC.

No extra time straight to penalties, Blackpool did fairly well in the game according to reports, and a rated player, McAliister had a run out after being injured for months.

Fear this game maybe like the build up to Gillingham - expected a good result away against a bogey side who were on a poor run and we then go and get hammered !! First game without Bodin - 2 weeks prep - hopefully there will be a player that will want to step up to the plate to fill this position if DC hasn't got anyone on by then.
