I don’t think you read what I wrote, if we had our no 1 targets they would be here by now? Like bodin is at Preston he was their number one target as it’s obvious...ours would be in league two or conference as we won’t spend the money in this transfer window because the pot will be empty for the summer where you can get players a bit cheaper... Dc has already said anyone expecting us to spend a lot on a player then your be disappointed... It’s pretty obvious league 2 players and conference players would have signed for us by now but the money isn’t right... Or their holding out and try their luck and ride the second half of the season hoping we hang on in there...maybe a free transfer or loans So... still no evidence... DC confirmed Ryan Sweeney was his number one choice for CB. We got him as the just as the season kicked off. Sometimes you have to be patient. And sometimes you end up with an un-balanced squad that limits the formations you can play.

So only 4 teams in league one haven’t signed anyone yet That’s a totally separate point. There’s no debate concerning- have we signed the fewest in the division? Am I missing something?

He’s had a tough season, but we’ve seen what he can be and that’s achievable again, and more. Would I be happy if he represented a large proportion of our transfer business this jan? I’d say- I’d be underwhelmed...

He's not reached the high standard he set last season but I think everyone forgets how young and inexperienced he still is. Will only get better and better IMO.

Sometimes you have to be patient. yes. but not all the time My point was more towards first choice targets. I would 100% agree that rovers supporters have had to be patient more than most. But, we there is no evidence to suggest we’ve missed out x choice. Peterborough are often the club cited as good in the transfer market- they have not been prolific, and there owner has stated that there not particularly close either...

In fairness, Peterborough have just beat Aston Villa away in the FA Cup, got Maddison to sign a new contract, are 2 points off the playoffs and have a better squad than us anyway. Our need is much greater than theirs.
