At the end of the day he needs to earn money the same as all of us. He obviously felt he has waited around long enough and has probably taken a much better offer. There is very little loyalty around these days, so i am not at all surprised. Good luck to him.

This would be a big deal if Trotman hadn't been good, thankfully Trotman has looked a good player. That being said, how short a term deal was Trotman's short term deal? We need to sign him on for the rest of the season pronto or we could really be left in the dog's doodahs.

Anybody got their finger on the pulse with this?

No great loss in my view. Sounds like we have avoided paying over the odds for an injured player which has to be the right decision

Good riddance I say he sounds like another mercenary. He won't get another chance to wear the famous quarters his loss.

Anybody got their finger on the pulse with this? As far as I remember it was either three months, or until January. I would like to think that an extension is being talked about right now. As for Turley, that's unexpected to say the least. I presumed it was a done deal. Besides the fact Rovers are apparently still not happy with his arm, he would probably have been wondering how he was going to get in the team.

I say enjoy Eastleigh, I would give my right knacker for us to hammer them end of this month. Nothing club with lots of money which could b uy them success but more likely will be a here today, gone tomorrow unit.

If there was any need to finally confirm DC's no risk policy then this is it.
New signings must tick all boxes no matter what the temptation.
Besides, did we need the lad?
Some of the stick he's taking on Twitter is uncalled for. He's got to take the chance to earn a living. If we won't take the risk and someone else will then good luck to the lad with his career

I can't see we needed a second opinion on Turley's broken arm as surely an decent surgeon can say whether on not the fracture has healed, did DC just use it as an excuse as Trotman's form as meant Turley's is now surplus to requirement?
I can see how you can blame Turley or Eastleigh as you can't expect them to wait whilst we make a final decision, lets just hope the money saved on Turley's is spent elsewhere and doesn't just now disappear.

I have never seen Turley play but he was popular with many posters who had. I hope this means we get a quality right back/ centre back instead as I think this is the weakest part of our team. We are conceding too many and IMHO I don't think we will go up if we don't improve our back-line.

I think you are bang on the money Topper. Let us remember Trotman was only signed as cover whilst we waited for Turley to get fit. But Trotsman's form has been fantastic,he has been one of our best players. The decision was a bit of a no brainer really.

'kin barsteward. I wouldn't of minded if DC said he was allowing Turley to get fit with us as a favour to one of his ex-players. But it was specifically for him to sign with us when fit. We've been made to look like right muppets. I hope he breaks his arm again when carrying his Fat Eastleigh pay packet. Harsh mate. You surprised me with that as I never thought you to be malicious. Must've been a typo. I hope he doesn't break his fragile arm whilst carrying his Fat Eastleigh pay packet.

It sounds like DC was disapointed by Turley going elsewhere, so it does feel like a loss. However, I'm sure we can bounce back from this and we have saved some money towards future signings.

Turley was not a priority signing for us and certainly not worth gambling on if there are genuine doubts about his arm. Reading between the lines this may mean that there is still money in the kitty for use later on (preferably to strengthen the midfield). So perhaps a good outcome for all.

That broken arms could be trouble later on if the medicals are still picking up issues.
So, glad he's had to to sling his hook.

Cunnington can 'test' out his arm with a bit of a physical approach in the near future.

I really don't get all these bitter, nasty digs at the bloke. He had every right to sign for Eastleigh and I completely understand his reasons for doing so.
