I really don't get all these bitter, nasty digs at the bloke. He had every right to sign for Eastleigh and I completely understand his reasons for doing so. It appears he basically used us to get fit and then buggered off as someone else was paying more. Even though he was apparently desperate to play for us. People have been bitter for far less.

I don't think that is the case. Although I assume we had discussed terms with him, we were still not ready to offer him that contract as we still had concerns about his arm. Football is Turley's job and he needs money for him and his family to live and it seems we were still not prepared to pay him yet. I don't think any of us know if the terms being offered by Eastleigh were more but it was a gaurenteed job which Turley needs. If I hadn't been paid for 6 months since my last job ended, I probably wouldn't hang around too long waiting for a job offer that may or may not come within the next few weeks and take a job being offered elsewhere so I can afford to pay bills etc. Am I frustrated about how it happened? Defintley. Can I see why he did it? Also, defintley and I think a lot of others would do the same if it was their job.

This is football though and the smallest things can rile people on a big scale.

Very strange that on the Eastleigh site they say that Turley could make his debut tomorrow after training with the squad yesterday. Very odd that our medical staff query his recovery and yet he is deemed fit enough to play tomorrow. Something doesn't ring true here.

Maybe there is a high risk of it breaking again ? Maye because the situation at the club has gone from panic stations to optimism they felt they could do without ? Leaving scope for later in the season.
