I literally cannot understand all the negative sh1t from people on here. Look at our history. There has never been a better time to be a gashead. So much potential. Owned by financially savvy and stable people. Playing at our own ground. Decent attendances. A young manager with a 49.2% win rate (better than Eddie Howe, less than 1% behind Jurgen Klopp). F*cking hell it is LUSH being a gashead right now. Typical pessimist Bristolians always finding something to bitch about. Totally agree. People taliking about these being “ hard times” really haven’t got a clue. Either that or a very short memory.

Helping ? What help do you need ? I just don't see why you feel the need to post what you did. If you think it's sh1t, fair enough - either don't read it anymore or put some thought into what you post. Simply stating it's sh1t adds nothing of value in my opinion. The negative comments are not helping are they ?

Cmon do me a favour BRFC aren't the only hard up football club in the league and the chances of being snapped up by somebody who's got more money than sense are very slim indeed. We can't just sit around waiting to strike it lucky like that, our best chance of success is to support the manager, the team, the club and the owners to get there over a period of time and to make sure that success is sustainable in the long run. Sorry to say it but that is why the owners said from the outset it would be "evolution not revolution". To me it looks like that is exactly what we are getting. Don't get me wrong I would like evolution to go at a slightly quicker pace but there's f all I can do about it other than put my hard earned into their coffers by going to support the team every other Saturday. UTG!

The negativity comes because football has, changed but we have not changed we have stood still in a time warp Which era are we stuck in then? When we were royally shafted out of Eastville and had to play in Twerton? The era when we came back to the Mem and made it our home? When the previous owners lawyers overlooked a tiny detail and allowed Sainsburys to walk away free of charge? Or now, when our current owners have purchased a training ground, given our best Manager ever a 5 year contract, seen us go from conference to L1 and signed 1 new and extended 3 existing contracts and not looking like we're weeks away from going into administration? Or are you on about the toilets?

The negativity comes because football has, changed but we have not changed we have stood still in a time warp To say we're stuck in a time warp is to ignore basically our entire history as club, certainly the last 35 years. Other than current league position there is not one single area in which we are not better off now than we have ever been.

If everyone just moaned we'd be in the prem by now. (although to be fair, it worked for Man City, what a bunch of moaning lady gardens they were/still are).

Again, that seems to me to be a distinctly small time mentality and makes me despair in a lot of ways. Your post reads like you are taking delight in the fact that the sh** sandwich you have been served has got nuts in it (financially savvy people!) and nice garnish (we own our stadium!). Things are not bad at the moment, they are okay, or adequate. I think the problem at Bristol Rovers is that we have been so sh**, treated like sh** and run so badly for so long that things that other clubs, even ones at our level, assume by default we see as things that we would be lucky to have because we are poor old Bristol Rovers. Our stadium is a toilet and the financially savvy owners have so far only proved they are financially savvy by raising the thought we could be homeless if things turn for the worse. Our manager is the only person at the club with any sort of ambition and the will and drive to make that happen. He should be being backed to the hilt but so far any money he has spent has been generated by him turning sh** into gold. DS and their dithering austerity model is perfect for a club like Yeovil or Accrington who deserve a dilapidated ground because frankly they are not well supported and are perhaps over achieving to be where they are. Bristol Rovers get 9000 in a terrible stadium, have taken big numbers to Wembley and Cardiff and could be a Championship club with the right investment. We deserve better owners who have larger means and big ambitions. Sadly we have lost that opportunity now as DS will never be removed, nor do they want to be. They are arrogant enough to think that their model of silence, long term evolution and giving up on ever being any sort of challenge to Bristol City is exactly what Bristol Rovers fans deserve. And there are some fans who are lapping that up, fair play to them, but it hurts me because it means that there will always be a ceiling to our ambitions and that ceiling doesn't even go as high as having another league derby in our lifetimes. It isn't good enough for me and more importantly it doesn't appear good enough for our manager who we will lose soon because he is not happy about the direction of the club and, worryingly, is not afraid to say so.

Do you want him to go and do something else because he is not happy with the owners? It would be very hypocritical of you to say that to me and yet give Clarke a free pass for being critical of the owners and our club's ambition, or lack of.

It's got nothing to do with poor old Bristol Rovers it's got to do with being a football league club. Talk to Bournemouth fans about what life was like 2006 - 2009. Talk to a Portsmouth fan about life 2009 to present day. Your post basically doesn't make any sense because it's founded in dream land. Served up a sh1t sandwich? What the f**k are you talking about? Life is better than it ever has been during my lifetime as a Rovers supporter. If you're that worried about City f**k of and watch them. What you're complaining about is the equivalent of saying "I hate my Dad because my older brother is taller than me" and when your old man is telling you to eat your greens to grow up big and strong like your big bro saying "That's the sort of sh1t sandwich you should save for my little sister. I want bigness now!"

I think people having big doubts and worries about the owners is understandable. I just dont feel the vitriolic dismissive and sometimes racist nastiness is justified. The UWE project collapse was a setback for the owners as well as the fans but i believe they deserve time to formulate plans to take the club forward.
