Have they not done that? Colony useable by July 19. Redevelop the stadium in a piecemeal fashion. What else is there? Yes I suppose they have in a way but it’s always struck me that these comments were reacting to 20man or someone else asking a question and have been so piecemeal and patchy. I don’t think other businesses would have got away with some statements in reaction to questions passing for some kind of plan or vision for the future. They haven’t been very proactive in presenting a case and a vision for us. Im not unhappy with our “evolution”, the development squad, increase in support staff, the transfer windows, mid -table in League 1 are all things I wouldn’t have dreamed of 3 years ago. I just think some forward thinking in sharing with us the plan B after the UWE went wrong would have been an easy win for them and would have taken us fans with them and would have given them some breathing time. Without that they left space, a vacuum for others to make suppositions and rumours. Could have been avoided imo. UTG! GET OUT Wareham! Far too sensible.

Also the Colony will be usable by July 19th 😂 don’t make me laugh I don’t even think a planning application has been put in as of yet, it takes 8 weeks for planning to be accepted so if they put it in say Monday the determination date wouldn’t be until 9 April which would give them 13 weeks to be completed including get it all signed off before it can be handed over , and that’s if they put it in Monday lol 😂 😂 Oh Sally you tart,Mr Hamer said July 2019 not July 19th,lol.

Its almost like a group of people following an agenda to put the owners down with rumour and false accusations designed to draw other people around to support their smear campaign. I do wonder if there are people behind this who feel they can benefit from supporters turning on the owners. And still not one shred of evidence behind their smears.

Personally I suspect that some people at the club are resistant to change. It's not unusual when new owners/directors come in and want to shake things up. This can lead to discontent from people who may previously been on to a good thing and bitterness that it's coming to an end. I think that the days of people constantly drip feeding negative stories will come to an end eventually once people either get on board and pull in the same direction or are replaced by people who will.

But the owners don't help themselves, they seemed to get caught out by the UWE news breaking then having given an interview Weal seems to have gone into hiding for months, then we get miss messages about the The Colony with SH suggesting DC would start using it in 2017, then 2018 and now 2019 but still no plans for ground we need submitted to S Glos, even though we were told talks were taking place with them months ago. Plus SH suggesting DC had a top 6 budget when he clearly hasn't. Whilst I hope some progress will be made soon on The Colony and the Mem it seems we are probably just has likely to be told the club's up for sale etc. Perhaps SH has gone quiet lately as he has similar thoughts? Back to the new stadium and attendances you'd hope we'd get the new stadium "bounce" on the field the likes of Brighton and Reading have got in the past and that would give us the boost to at least make a fist at a promotion challenge and so boost home attendances and ultimately turnover/money spent on the team. Although if the ALQ's do intend to do it stand by stand we won't have to worry about a 18/20K capacity ground for a good few years, in fact we could so an Oxford and stop at 3 stands until we needed the 4th!

In a previous post I mentioned that you have to listen carefully to what Mr Hamer says. I don't think he lies to us. I think he is just very careful with his words. I don't think he ever said that we woud have a budget that is at least the 6th highest in the league. He said we would have a top 6 budget. I think what that actually means is that they sat down with DC and said "What budget do you need for top six place?". There was then a negotiation as always happens with budget owners and then they decided that the figure being offered was enough for a top 6 finish. Things in football as we all know don't necessarily work out to what it looks like on paper. If Nicholls for example was scoring 20 goals a season then we might we'll be heading for the top 6.

Hand on heart can you see the Mem being rebuilt, simple question yes or no? does it matter if I say yes or no?
If I asked you, I assume your answer would be No? if so the point stands that you probably wouldn't believe them if they told you if the re-affirmed there commitment or published a design plan for the redevelopment so what do you want them to say?
You ought to be a politician, talk about dance around the question and answer the question with three questions of your own , a simple yes or no would suffice.

I don’t think other businesses would have got away with some statements in reaction to questions passing for some kind of plan or vision for the future. I don't think that's true. Most other businesses don't have people hanging on their every word demanding updates every other week, and then dismissing any news as distractions for the real news. eg. Sainsbury's mission statement is, "To be the consumer's first choice for food, delivering products of outstanding quality and great service at a competitive cost through working 'faster, simpler and together." It's complete gibberish and essentially meaningless, but the posters of Sainsburyschat.co.uk don't sit over their computers demanding to know all the ins and outs of every plan they have going, and wondering why they haven't been updated every week, or coming up with strange conspiracy theories on why no progress is being made.

Genuine question Why do we need to know ?
id like to know as well as many of others. That's a reasonable answer. That yourself and others would "like" to know. To satisfy your own curiosity no doubt. But with respect does not answer why we "need" to know.
Which is the issue at hand. If there is a real genuine important reason why we NEED to know.
How as fans us knowing exactly what is going on as regards to stadium developments will make an important difference in the future of Bristol Rovers.

That may be your opinion but: It does not matter what the owners or Board say some people interpret and twist as they wish so maybe the Board has learned it is better to say not a lot and just get on with their lives and doing their job. You may not like that but in my view, they are very wise - you will find out in due course what they are and have been doing. It may surprise you to know that there are people within the Football Club support and staff who know what is going on but who work with the owners rather than always picking fault.
