Imagine.Travelling from Rochdale on a freezing tuesday night, and ending up in our uncovered terraces for visiting fans.In the old days, the bottom four teams had to apply for re-election-no relegation to the Conference then-Rochdale were perennial applicants.Refereed there in my first season, early 80's and they didn't expect to get re-elected but did so.Elderly lady welcomed us and explained that as they'd not expected to survive another re-election they hadn't employed a secretary and she was standing in.Improved their little ground since then but the only match day programme I ever saw that wasn't printed just a duplicated couple of pages. Real football club who signed Matty Lund from Stoke when I thought we were going to after his loan with us. Although it's raining at the moment the weather forecast for this evening suggests it will be dry and clear with the temperature around 1c. That's cold so I hope those on the open terraces wrap up warm. I don't suppose there will be many from Rochdale, it's a fair old trek, and they don't exactly pack their own ground on match days. If they have any sense they will pay a couple of extra quid and sit in the South stand away section. I thought I would update the forum with a weather check in the absence of the redoubtable T Bone.

I assume the game will still be on. Not sure what it is like in Bristol but here in Street it has rained non-stop all night and not due to stop until this afternoon. Knowing how bad our pitch is at the moment do you think it will still go ahead?

It has been pouring down heavily in BS3. Yes it was raining goals on Saturday as well - think it's been pretty miserable in BS3 ever since the Villa result and I hear its due to continue well into the night after the Cardiff and Derby games finish.

Just quick question this kid a quid tonight have you got to book ticket or just £1 on night? Used to turn up with a quid on the gate back 5 years ago when I was u16, but this is What it says on the website:
The offer is available to anyone who purchases a full-price adult ticket, with the 'Kids for a Quid' offer available in the North Terrace, Popular Insulation Terrace, Optimum South West Stand, Lancer Scott South West Terrace, South Stand and Family Enclosure.
Supporters can take advantage of the offer online or in person from the Club Shop. Supporters will be able to take advantage of this offer on the evening of the fixture but will have to purchase tickets at the ticket office, located behind the North Terrace.

I was going to start a nice early match day thread, but I’ve thought better of it as the last one I started was a disaster Wimbledon I think? LJG has a 100% record so come on old boy let’s get the ball rolling UTG! gaschat.co.uk/thread/11668/rochdale-match-day-thread
