We are now averaging close to 8,900 this season despite the fact we've not been higher than 11th in the table - that's very good. Well done Gasheads !

Fáir play to MK fans, given how bad they've been that's a decent effort.

MK Dons is a surprising one considering hardly anyone else takes them seriously! Maybe its a similar case to Bradford with really cheap season tickets, or they are just giving away free tickets?

I think that MK Dons figure is inflated because of the size of their away capacity, some teams seem to take 3 to 4k there so I reckon that knocks their average up by a few hundred?

Even if it is, it's still a bloody good following for a team that is what 9/10 years old & in relegation?
It makes ours & (especially) Plymouth's all the more impressive to be honest as we get lower away attendances down here

If we had say 3000 away capacity ( bloody big tent I know ) our average would be a lot higher as some teams would fill it. Still a good average though considering where we’ve been placed in the league this season. I don’t know if this has been mentioned before, but I think we need a bigger stadium?

We're Rovers supporters, we're faithful and true, we always follow, the boys in blue AND WHITE.
Rovers truly are sleeping giants. One of the biggest Cities in England, 46,000 fans at Wembley, massive catchment area due to lack of Premier League clubs within 50 miles, envied away following.
UTFG! No better club around.

I think Pompey took 7k there on Saturday! Yeah there have been some big away followings to MK Dons. If you took off the away fans, we would probably be above them in the average table. I would like to see the list of average away followings in our league this season. I would like to think we would be higher than 8th. I would take a guess and say we would be 4th or 5th best in terms of away followings this season.

Would be interesting to see how we compare with away support. It’s the away fans pushing theirs up. They had something like 14k in last Saturday but nearly 7k Portsmouth fans. Gotta be said that is a great away following by Pompey. So in reality mk dons are only about 7k home fans

Your tent comment cracked me up Although I don't think our attendance would be much higher. It's only Plymouth, Pompey & Oxford who would sell out our away end this season. Still, to think the home end is around 80% full each week is pretty good - it's been a long time!

They have been preparing themselves for Rovers relegation, but now Rovers might actually have a chance of reaching the playoffs whilst their utterly pointless cup run has well and truly buggered up their own hopes of promotion. Their recent form is awful. They are beginning to realise that they ain't going up and that Bristol Sport Franchise doesn't care if they go up or not. It's all gone very quiet over there....
