Don't forget Halifax - thanks god it was still only one down in L2 then !!! You have to worry for tranmere and orient now - Macclesfield could return this year but teams like Aldershot Wrexham Dagenham Hartlepool Chester could all suffer similar a similar fate to Stockport unfortunely

Spent 5 years in the Second tier during the nineties even playing in a higher division than Manchester City at one point. I hope they make it back up to a professional level in the future. Being at Uni in Manchester I saw Rovers beat them 1-0 at Edgeley Park on a Tuesday evening in 1969 in the old Div 3. I think Wayne Jones scored with a long shot. 50 years later we are still at the same level but I remain optimistic! UtG

Barnet look doomed too. Missed a pen at 1-0 and ended up losing 1-3. Nothing to do with us now, but wasn't that long ago that we were looking out for their results every week in the hope they'd slip up. We really have come a long way since then! Reminds me of being in the away end at Dover chuffed AF because Barnet were losing to Kidderminster and we had taken the lead...only for the ref to ignore that foul on Puddy and all but send Barnet up automatically. A miserable journey home followed. Yet look at the pair of us now? Fair *s to DC- he has worked wonders.

Talking of Barnet what the hell has happened to Akinde this season, look destined for at least Div 1 at one point last season now looking likely to be back in the National League, unless he leaves Barnet in the summer.

Every time I see the conference north table and see Stockport there in 10th makes me think how lucky we were. In the conference, after our not so good start things could have turned out so differently. Remember when us and Stockport had our falling out? They accused us of deliberately getting our game postponed so we could prepare for the City game. We have a lot to thank DC for Yeah imagine if he’d seen those flyers that were put up around the place and thought “ sod this I’m out of here”. My world would have been a different place I’d probably hate football now.

City losing to Fulham - let the meltdown begin One win in 12 for the arsonists. Mid table finish for those lady gardens at this rate. 1-1. That was the kiss of death wasn’t it. What a prick.

Half times Wimbledon 0-1 Blackburn Peterborough 1-1 Walsall
Will City finally lose 6th place now with Reading 0-1 Sheffield United They've only held on to it due failure of the teams below them like Sheffield Utd, Middlesborough and Preston
