Think it's time for Ollie Clarke to return to the side. Brings that extra energy for the end of the season, as he always does - he always excels towards the end.
Him for Lines would be an ideal replacement. Stick Sercs in central midfield with him, with Bennett on the left, and Mensah on the right in front of Parts.
My team for Wigan:
(GK) Smith (RB) Parts (CB) Broadbent / Lockyer (CB) Craig (LB) Brown (RM) Mensah (CM) Sercombe (CM) O. Clarke (LM) Bennett (ST) Harrison (ST) Telford
May be a bit harsh on Gaffney but in that final ten minutes, Telford showed more than Gaffney did in the previous 80 imo.

DC never wants to divulge injury info. I'm presuming Broadbent has picked up a knock too as surely he'd have at least made the bench for the last two games. Hope they're both back soon.

TB's suffering to the latest DC undroppable, Craig 3 games/3 errors/3 goals conceded but I bet his name is already down first for the Wigan game, Bennett's another one.

Did you listen to DC'S post match interview ? Brown's fault for goal admitted by the player himself so that's your 3 errors for goals theory put to bed.

Craig was not at fault today, it was Brown who had a shocker of a game Lee brown gives us loads going forward but defensively has never been great . He is what he is , he’s set up more goals under D.C. than anyone other than chris lines so I can completely see why he was picked today. His crosses didn’t come off today but normally they’re decent he set up a goal in his last home game he’s sets up goals regularly for us. DC said he was at fault for the goal but it came down our right so if Lee brown is our left back then why was he at right back and how’s that his fault ? I’ll have to have a look tomorrow but I’m pretty sure it came through Partington / Lockyers area?

Oliiie Clarke works really hard, limited skill, has a really good shot, not particularly creative, more of a utility midfielder, when all the midfielders are fit, he would not start in my first eleven, best coming off the bench as cover. I never understand why D.C. on occasions makes him captain, as he is in no way a leader.

Will be a little worried if he's not at least in the squad on Tuesday.

Guess he wasn't part of yesterday's project. I would still play him ahead of Sinclair because he has far better awareness of the formation and structure of the side.I can't fault's Sinclair's commitment but for me he leaves far to many gaps that are exploited by decent teams.

Against Wigan, think Craig as a defensive left back might work well with Broadbent and Lockyer as cbs.

This was said about Tom Lockyer when he got the armband And was constantly for about a year after, and still is now sometimes if we lose! I couldn't think of any players more suitable for the armband than Locks and Clarke; both came through our youth team and have been there through thick and thin with us, they are always up for the fight and bleed blue and white. As well as being humble and very professional, they are also both bloody good players who do their thing in an understated way, hence why they tend to be underrated at times by fans. We miss them big time when they are out (like Clarke yesterday).

Probably the worst passing midfielder I`ve seen, playing in the quarters.
