Hope Mr Wael was there to-day to see we are a million years behind in the stadium stakes.Having said that ,their club is a bit soulless. I am sure the board and Hamer went there very publicly last year looking at stadium design. All on the Web site somewhere. The doom merchant will deny this as rumour and kept secret

Im all for questioning and justifiable critism. Lord kNows I have done enough over the years. The Al Qadis have mad a few missteps for sure, but they seem to have receievd more criticism in The past 12 months then those before managed in countless years We might not have acheived what was wanted in the past couple of years, but land has been acquired for a training ground, there appears to be plans for a training ground (all be it scaled back in the offing) increasing the backroom staff and introducing a development squad etc. They may be far from perfect owners, but they have done more, or put theremselves in a position to do more in the two years than has happened in 20 odd before it Agree 100% with your post.... but how can we scale back plans when no official plans exist to scale back ? But they are coming and i bet they are on par with anything the Sh1!heads are doing Having plans is all well & good but putting them into practice is another thing. Regardless, the 82 are already light years ahead of us, are applying for Cat A academy and are prem ready now so I will have a gallon of what you’re drinking

So if we went for "Plan B" whilst UWE was still on going, knowing the consultancy fees for the UWE are £1m + would you not consider that a complete waste of money we do not have ? Is that not the same as pulling the plug you have already spent £1m on? We are told it wasn’t a knee jerk reaction... Looking and architecting a plan b at the Mem would be and should be considerably cheaper bearing in mind we already have previous plans and permission to build. Planning ran out & we didn’t renew

So Hani controls the finance dept...big deal. All large companies have finance depts. and managers/directors does that mean they rule the company decisions ? No. If Wael was to take an idea to the board (family) he would need a good business case for the idea. The finance guy (Hani) would then have to argue a case why it was a bad idea or agree with the idea.
The family all know Wael has the passion to succeed ,which is why a less passionate football person holds the purse strings. So they manage the investment wisely. What contribution do Samer and Abdul make to decision making ? or do we think they sit in the corner blowing bubbles ?
The need for villians and scapegoats at Rovers is relentless.

Fellow Gas eds, its confession time! Today Sunday 4/3/2018 i crossed a line which no gas ed should ever cross, my crime? i visited Ashton Gate. It is the first time since ,think it was the 60s , when we drew 0-0 in a cup match, most boring derby ever. in my defence a friend got tickets for a Bristol rugby game,35.00 quid each, which i thought a bit steep for 2nd division rugby, he is a City fan as is his right, and in fairness to him is far less defamatory about the gas than i am of the s--t!Anyway he was keen to show of the stadium to me and highlight its virtues, and i had to adopt a nonchalant attitude and feign only a passing interest in the surroundings, but i confess that deep down i was very impressed!.dont confuse impressed with jealousy or envy , as neither of these emotions reared there ugly heads.Plenty of other grounds have impressed me ,none more so than Old Trafford, but it does not mean i am envious or jealous, i can not stand the culture at City or the whole ethos of the club and have no desire to be like them, true Gas eds need no explanation!BUT ,if we are to achieve our potential and become an established, competitive, championship club we must get the stadium sorted , and soon!My friend asked me whats it like at the mem these days , i replied 'its prob the worst ground in league 1 , others may know better, but it is ours to do what we want with , PLANNERS PERMITTING,so please Wael give us a sign that your evolution ,which i believe in, is proceeding as planned .because at the moment we are light years behind clubs of a similar potential to us.City are still highly indebted to Lansdowne and are reliant on him , but with the infrastructure and potential for income at TRASHTON , he has every chance of getting his cash back, like wise would our owners , but they will have to speculate to accumulate, so my message to Wael is ,'have faith in Rovers ,as we have faith in you.So there we are i crossed a line today and i am happy to serve my penance as decreed by the mods, i will consider any punishment but please dont make me eat any pies from the Mem!Have any other Gas eds crossed the line and visited Trashton?if so what do you think? Finally as Bristol Rugby lost for the first time this season with me in attendance, and the fact they made mistake after mistake in defence and attack, do you think i would have a similar effect on the football team?if so i am prepared to go to there remaining home games and really screw up there season by putting a spell on them,i wouldn't have to watch , i could read a book, and sit there with a warm glow as there dreams go up in smoke, would welcome any thoughts ! COME ON WAEL,COME ON YOU BLUES!

I think its totally unfair to expect that from our owners or any other owners although there are similar cases to lansdown.

he has every chance of getting his cash back He must have blown getting on for £120M by now. It was reported in the summer that Huddersfield Town were set for a minimum of a £185million windfall following their promotion to the Premier League. The figure was irrespective of whether or not they survived this season and is based on a side finishing bottom of the table.

Blackpool fc loss for the financial year announced as £2.2m with total debts at £27.1m. Having been in the Prem only 6 or 7 years ago, to now be £27 million in debt is disgraceful mismanagement.

Blackpool fc loss for the financial year announced as £2.2m with total debts at £27.1m. With virtually zero gate income and the Oystens raping ( whoops) the club of most of the proceeds from their short stay in the Premier League I’m not surprised. The last time I was in Blackpool the Oystens were desperately trying to sell off assets to pay off a previous director who they lost to in court for their underhand actions. Edit: Just read that the Oystens missed the second £10m payment of the £30m they have been ordered to pay the ex director. The family have also split with Father Owen sacking son Karl who has left Blackpool FC.

I have the upmost respect for the Blackpool supporters and how they have managed to expose their owners for their actions which was backed up by a high court judge. This forum wouldn’t exist if the Oystens or their likes were our owners, they sued everybody who discussed their actions publicly.

COME ON WAEL,COME ON YOU BLUES! You have to be admired for your bravery, but a visit when City are at home would be beyond bravery verging on madness - my advice make a will before you go! (I still remember the way City fans treated Joe Jordan) With regard to the comparison, Mr L has been a director of his football club for over 20 years, and after several setbacks the current stadium was born. No one can deny it is a major achievement and a personal triumph for him. The supporters however can claim no such triumph because they have played no part other than passive - as customers. The Al-Qadi family have been at Rovers for just two years and so far their only real setback has been the inability to agree a way forward with the intransigent people at UWE. Whereas Mr L took many years to formulate his plans it seems the Al-Qadis' are expected to formulate theirs in months - unreasonable - I think so, and that is why, even at my advanced age, I am prepared to wait and see whilst giving them all the support I can. I still believe in the tortoise and the hare.
