If Rovers can aviod defect in the next 4 games, then who reckons we should make our game at Aldershot a Gas Invasion Day? In season 1973/74, an estimated 8,000 gas invaded the Army town. So let's go up there and show them what support really is! Im up for it if everyone else is.

Sounds good. Reckon we could take decent numbers there. Not too far either.

Been there twice. It'll be easy to create a great atmosphere if we bring a thousand or so under that tin pot roof!

Was planning on going when the fixtures were announced. Hopefully we are still on an unbeaten streak.

Need to get it on the OS ideally to spread the word easier. This. No point of us only saying this on here, we need to get the word out if it's going to happen!

Need to get it on the OS ideally to spread the word easier. And for The Rovers to put their hand in their pocket and subsidise it in some way? Or another idea. Everyone take your dog and a flask of tea to Dover and demand to change ends at half time.

Everyone take your dog and a flask of tea to Dover and demand to change ends at half time. Why so? Subsidise an away trip, Rovers put money in the pockets of our opposition. Subsidise a home game with reduced ticket prices, the money stays with Rovers and we hopefully encourage some kids to become gasheads for life. I remember the subsidised trip to Walsall in Bobby Gould's day. 5000 of us turned up and we lost 5-0 with plenty in the cells that night. Always shuddered at the thought of any assistance from the club after that episode. If word gets around, we can make Aldershot a sell out anyway.

Just a suggestion, if Gasheads want to sell the place out. Rovers wouldn't be putting money in our oppositions pocket. If Aldershot want 15 quid or whatever that's what they'll end up with. Only if Rovers subsidise each ticket by say 3 quid. Then the gasheads will only pay 12. Or how about buy a ticket to Aldershot and get a voucher for a free pastie / food voucher to be used at one of the next three home games. Or buy a ticket to Aldershot and get a free ticket for the next game. Obviously that would stuff up season ticket holders. I was at Walsall that day too. Didn't end up in a police cell though. But yes you're correct that Rovers must do everything they can to get people to home games

If its a Gas Invasion we will easily sell out the 1,500 tickets.
The problem of segregation may reduce our chances of getting a further allocation, unless they choose to make a big profit and give us the whole of the East bank terrace which is shared between home and away fans.

And we got pelted with old pennies by the home crowd.

Is this game still on the Saturday? Remember something about it being moved to a Friday night?
