Two evenly matched sides; the main difference being Telford's finishing First goal a low left foot drive across the 'keeper into the right hand corner from just inside the box. The second a delightful left foot lob over the 'keeper from a through ball. Solid performances all round: www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2018/april/17.04.18-dev-report/Pirate the trialist any good? I didn't watch the match unfortunately. Any idea who it was?

In all honesty a poor game played in difficult conditions on a difficul pitch. For two teams at the top end of this league the standard was uninspiring with a lot of hoof ball particularly from Rovers in the first half playing into the strong wind. Dom Telford was the only stand out player - most of the rest of the team on that particular display still have a lot to do to make it as professional footballers.

That was an experienced argyle 11 we beat today. Not just McCormick but sango’o, Miller, Paton, ainsworth all players I recognise. A good sign regardless of performance today

I guess Darrell has something against Telford.. maybe no chance of us getting him permanent so he wants to develop our own talents rather than stokes?

A good sign regardless of performance today Aaron Taylor-Sinclair has also played 25 times for Argyle this season. He's also previously played in the Scottish Prem/Championship.

The way I see it is that DC wants him here next season, if he wasn't thinking that then I would have thought Sweeney would have played in these games too as he is only bench warming right now and its extremely unlikely we will see him back again next season. Not sure why Telford is not getting much first team action though? Is he out of contract with Stoke in the summer? Someone did mention on here before that DC wants him next season and is worried other teams will go after him if he plays well for the first team! I think that's a bit too far fetched though!

I quite like Telford, he needs to feel that he's wanted, feel that he belongs, feel he's loved by us all, I didn't get any of these when I was a nipper, my mum used to tie a pork chop round my neck so the dog would play with me.

My parents used to take me swimming down the Canal. We had a great game, where they would put me in a sack and throw me in. I had to somehow escape from the sack, and run home before they were able to move to another house. What fun times in the old days eh!

I watched the development game at Cirencester last week, and again yesterday. Baghdadi is a strange one. In neither of those games did he stand out as being a league standard player, and yet against Blackburn, when he came on as a sub, I thought he showed some nice touches, and didn`t look out of place against a team flying high in the division.

All I've seen of him is the cameo against Blackburn and the 4-goal haul below against St Ives Town in the Southern League. He looks promising to me from those glimpses.

Which position did he play in those 2 games ? and did he get much service ?

He's a little terrier. This Evening's Stoke Sentinel. Dom Telford scores goals. The 21-year-old Stoke City striker has had to be patient during a season on loan at Bristol Rovers, with 19 of 23 appearances coming off the bench. He’s scored twice in 276 minutes on the pitch in League One. But he has been keen to get on the pitch whenever and at whatever level he can, including run outs for the Gas development team in the Central League. And in six games he has managed to score 14 (fourteen) goals. That’s included two hat-tricks before a brace in a 2-0 win over Plymouth earlier this week. (Image: Bristol Post) He told the Rovers website: “I back myself in any game I'm playing in, I've got one thing on my mind. I've been taking my chances so happy days. “It's always a good test and another 90 minutes is good. It's keeping me fresh and ready if and when the gaffer needs me. Plymouth had a strong team and it's good to put yourself up against lads who have played hundreds of games. “It's good to see where you're at and where you need to improve. It's good for the young lads too, they stuck it out well and it was thoroughly deserved. “It's nice to be scoring goals at any level but I'm 21 and I love football so any opportunity I get to play I'll take it 100 per cent.” READ MORE Stoke City news and transfer rumours LIVE! Frustrated Shaq questions Potters' ambition, promotion heroes recall glory days Telford and midfielder Mark Waddington joined Stoke from Blackpool in 2015 but is out of contract this summer. Rovers manager Darrell Clarke, who has also taken Stoke defender Ryan Sweeney on loan this season, told the Bristol Post earlier this year: “There was a reason I brought (Marc Bola) and Dom in on loan this season – they’re out of contract in the summer. I'm not sure what’s happening at those clubs. “I looked at the bigger picture with those two if they potentially get released. It was about working on them as a project.” Read more: gasheads.org/thread/7417/tonights-evening-stoke-sentinel-paper#ixzz5D2tyirSH

Which position did he play in those 2 games ? and did he get much service ? The service was poor,it was very windy and the artificial pitch very bouncy, also both teams worked very hard to close each other down making it scrappy and frantic mostly. That said both plymouth wide players impressed although one of them is an experienced league player i believe. On tuesday he played wide right.
