Rational? To keep a player that has not done the job he was brought here to do is injured and has been generally poor and sign someone who will keep him on the bench, a job manages without any help. We've all bought expensive things we regret, but keeping them just keeps reminding you of your mistake. Nichols is the best player at the club why would we get rid of him Stop it.

Keepers ok - encourage to command box better
Defenders release Burn/Sweeney - keep bola permanent if cheap - Mayo replace Sweeney - get permanent defending coach but otherwise improving
Midfielders release Sincs shame but weak link replace with experienced holding midfielder - got good passing/attacking midfielders in squad - Give Moore 1 year extension to prove himself on favoured right
forwards - keep all - no point in selling Nichols hopefully come good ! - keep Telford permanent if cheap one for future ? - Need fox in box experienced striker
A little bit of tinkering/coaching/additions we will be ready for the next level UTG

What’s all this about releasing Sweeney, Telford and Bola? They’re loan players, not ours to release! They go back, we move on. UTG!

That's because PT is a complete plank as a manager. He has proved that conclusively with his inept performance after Lawrence departed, and backed that up with the disaster that was Cardiff. I trust DC to manage evolving the squad, PT isn't fit to lace his boots as a manager. Yes, DC may be a better manager than PT but up until that transfer window PT hadn’t done much wrong. He had continually improved us but made a serious miscalculation in dismantling the old squad wholesale. DC would do it more gradually as he has done so far. I also trust DC but he’s not infallible!! That’s why I think 3/4 players to come in maximum. UTG! My whole point was that up until that transfer window PT had no dealings in the transfer market. LL got the players in,,and told PT where and how to play them. Once LL had left PT had sole command and we all remember the car crash that followed. Without LL running things behind the scenes, there would have been no JPT final and no play off victory.

LL was in charge of recruitment but pretty sure he didn’t tell PT where and how to play them. Perhaps not the best of managers but not as bad as some say and certainly one of the best coaches we’ve had, you’ve only got to see the teams that he’s helped get to the PL.The season after Lenny left was, as you say, a car crash and PT is certainly better as part of a team rather than as a stand alone manager. UTG!

My release list would be -
Bola, sweeney, Telford back to parent clubs.
Burn - not even getting much game time at York
Leadbitter - injuries galore, not even a shadow of the player he was in the conference, confidence is shot to sh**. He's not the overlapping pacey confident wing back he was at the start of his rovers game.
Moore - not fussed if he stays or goes, he either makes a massive impact or does nothing - question is, can we get a more consistent player at a reasonable price, if so he'll have to go
And I'd probably leave it at that.
A big target for me would be Eisa from Cheltenham. But we'd probably have to put our hands in our pockets for him. And he's not proven at this level so it's a risk, but one I'd happily see us take. This season he's scored 20 goals, that's more than gaffney has since he joined us, and that's more than nichols has scored since 2012.

We won't sell unless it's big money." "I have been in the Championship so I know what it is and I'd say Mo is at least a Championship at this moment in time." "It’d have to be a biggish club to afford someone like Mo when we have put this amount of work into him. "He knows that when it’s the right time it’ll happen and when we all have a decision to make we’ll make it."

We all know how that ended. Eisa will have a release clause. I think that probably all good young strikers in the lower leagues have them now. The agents insist on them so the club can't use their contract length as a lever to get top money for them, which means there's more available for the new players wages and, of course, the greedy agents fee.

It's part of his job.

He might have a release clause, but we'd probably still have to smash our transfer record to get him. Edit: The talk in the local Cheltenham press is it would take a fee of £800k or more to prise him away. Cardiff have been linked.

Lyle Taylor is a player I'd happily take instead of eisa if it fit our budget better, if Wimbledon go down and we don't at least attempt I would be disappointed, another young lad who knows where the net is, same amount if goals as harisson in a team that has struggled for the most part of this season. I'm sure he's out of contract in the summer too....

There are a few players from abroad I'd take over him though, some quality players out there if we spread our net wide.

This winter there was some work done for transfers of Craig Bennett or Mensah. We can see that there is a reflection there. I hope that this reflection continues this summer.
The group has proven to have a strong pride and will, to come back to the first half of the table from the bottom half this winter. This means this team can have a positive evolution.
Now with a season (two) with such promises, we could have a positive summer. So i hope Darell will have the payers he needs for the next season, to continue this reflection !
I wonder if you know how does the scouting works now at the club ?

If we go for too big a change in the summer then we could easily lose the squad ethos that DC has spent 4 years building. We did that before in Summer 2010 (I think without checking) and it went very wrong. PT got rid of the wrong players and replaced them with more expensive but lesser players! Imo, of course! 3/4 new signings that go in the first team, a defender, a midfielder and two forwards, supplemented by the best of the development squad would be good. And who we get rid of will be determined by which ones are out of contract I suppose. UTG! That's because PT is a complete plank as a manager. He has proved that conclusively with his inept performance after Lawrence departed, and backed that up with the disaster that was Cardiff. I trust DC to manage evolving the squad, PT isn't fit to lace his boots as a manager. Ha, what utter nonsense.

Or perhaps you were, back in the day.
