Listening back to that Dagenham goal on the radio and I'm not ashamed to say it's brought a little tear to the eye. What a fantastic memory and a fantastic servant to the club he has been. Hopefully there will be a packed Mem to give him the send off he deserves. Does the same to me. What a day that was, what a player Lee is and what a loyal bloke he is. In the last 40+ years there aren't many true Gashead legends -lots and lots of good footballers but very few true blue gashead players. Lee Brown is one of them. He could have quite easily slithered away like the snake and taken better money when we went into to conference but his quote (paraphrasing here) about 'the players got the Gas into this mess and the players should get them out' shows the kind of bloke he is. Hopefully the cries of LEE BROWN (to the tune of 'Amazing Grace') will ring out loud and clear. Gutted that he is going but I also understand. Family always comes first.

Gutted he is leaving, has been a truly outstanding player for us. So many amazing Gas memories with him a the centre, DC will have an incredibly hard job finding a replacement with not only his ability... but with his attitude and commitment to the Club.
Good luck where ever you end up next Browner... You are a Gas legend!

I reckon Browner will be on free-kick duty Yep and Nichols will get us a pen and Browner will take it Gestures in football are thankfully rare as the potential ensuing disaster is never well received (Luke James' penalty miss?) They can also be a total OTT cringe (John Terry at Chelsea??). However, there is little at stake on Saturday and, should we win a pen I would love to see Browner take it... and score. That said, I wouldn't want to see four players booked and a sending off as a result of the team's misguided efforts to win said pen.

Good luck with the rest of your career Browner! Lets see if Buckle can recommend any more full backs as he didn't do too badly with Brown and Smudge. Weird timing though... Surely the timing is to enable us to give him a good send-off on Saturday?
Sorry I wasn't very clear; I meant weird timing after all this time he has been with us, but I guess it could be any reason for leaving, ill family members etc. I'm glad we know now so we can give him the send off he deserves

Going to miss him that's for sure. One of the best crossers of the ball, always willing to do the wing run and still get back to put a tackle in.
As for the Wembley penalty and that right foot, the memories will forever be with me.
All the best Browner, hope one day you can come back in any capacity, you'll always be welcome.
Bags.

Good luck for your future Lee.
Thanks for all memories.
Hugo the Younger and I are both going to have to find a new favourite player.

Thank you Lee, for everything.
I wish we had a Club Museum, with an attached "Player's Hall Of Fame", because Lee Brown deserves to be inducted into that "Player's Hall Of Fame".

I hope he might come back to us in some capacity in the future, perhaps youth team coach or similar. There can't be a better role model for young players than Browner

I don't really like the use of Hero as it is so often used for the wrong people but Browner in my eyes is a true hero and will go down as a club legend, all best Lee and I hope things work out well for you.

Everyone has to leave sometime, better that he made the choice rather than the club, plus family always comes first. Suspect he will end up at Orient

Gutted to see Lee go as he’s a big cog in the wheel when we’re playing well and a valuable team player we won’t replace to that standard...his coolness on the ball and deliveries and goal scoring option will sorely be missed...the fact arsenal couldn’t produce a player that plays to his standards shows you something that’s now worrying for us... Fullbacks has been a big problem this season with no one playing well week in and out and also injuries... When leads and browner are on their game we always looked unstoppable

Last season was basically a 50/50 split between playing as a centre back and left back, but the majority of his career has been as a CB.
