No news yet, hence the hopefully neutral title, but the AGM feedback suggested planning will be submitted 8-9 weeks after the AGM on 12th March.
By my reckoning we are just starting the ninth week so we should be expecting something in the next 7 days. This is a big litmus test for our owners' intentions so fingers crossed there aren't further delays (assuming the 8-9 weeks was genuine).

I am not holding my breath. After his interview last week, I was left feeling DC is still scpetical that it will happen.

Planning should be a formality, after all, l thought phase 1, which l believe is not expected to be completed until June 2019, was only to be for access, site security, footprint / layout of the training pitch and construction of a modest block of changing rooms, hardly contentious; l would expect permission to be given without any complaints / objections. Hmm

Hmm I don't think the club had divulged any details of what will be shown on the plans when they are eventually submitted?

It is now more than 2 hours since this thread appeared. Is there any updated news?

It is now more than 2 hours since this thread appeared. Is there any updated news? As of literally less than two hours ago when I was at The Colony I can confirm than nothing has changed - apart from the grass and weeds that are still growing nicely.

The AlQadis want out. Sack the board, sack the beard sack the boss.

If the application was submitted tomorrow we are looking at c.8 weeks for formal approval so I would guess not before August. The last verbal intended date was ready for preseason 2019 so it would need to start no later than February (again subject to complexity of the main centre). 2020? You could be right 🙄

I wonder what £2-3m will get us ? I think a while ago you suggested a lot of that would be used up in ground works (water, sewage and power cable connections), is that still your understanding?

The al qadis and hamer aren't idiots and know the public opinion is and the way he is will always be with DC so to go against what he says has to happen would be a very bad statement and public opinion would turn on the owners.
