As we are now getting a new "Hybrid" pitch which will be "Wembley Like", i wonder how much this is costing the club ?
A little research shows the Wembley pitch cost over £250,000 in 2010 so that's a good start point
Other estimates have been in the £300,000 to £500,000 for other types of pitch
Are these the actions of a Owner that wants out ?

The pitch needed to be completely re-laid and that has no bearing on any owner wanting in or out.

They could have just left the old one which worked for the last few games until the "Takeover" was finished

Who's paying for the new pitch the club again or the contractors who seemingly messed up last summer? Unfortunately it doesn't sound like we'll be getting a new stadium any time soon if we're now spending a small fortune on the Mem pitch.

Even if we submitted plans today for a new stadium it would be 3 years min before we are sat in it, so then spend was needed

I think we will be playing in our Ramshackled ground with a new pitch for a long time.
There have been no evidence to suggest we are even looking at building elsewhere or developing The Mem, we just getting a new pitch and some turnstiles.

I think we all know that a stadium project whether it’s the Mem or another side will take a minimum 2 years to plan and gain approval, 1 year to appoint contractors and order materials and then 18 months-2 year build.
So 5 years providing we get plans drawn on something by August this year is the minimum timeframe we are looking at.

We have made some good forward moves so far but I see no evidence of movement on the ground or training facility. Until we do I won't operate on blind faith I'm afraid.

I believe the new pitch will contain a sub-layer of artificial fibre to which the grass roots attach. This will make the surface more sturdy and robust, which should mean it won't break up and crumble like it has tended to do. They are also massively improving the drainage, especially around the edges of he playing surface.
I think it will be different to the S hits Desso pitch which has plastic "grass" integrated with the real stuff. Then again, it has to cope with the Rugger Buggers churning it up every other week. I think the S hit also have under-soil heating. Well, you have to be ready for the Prem and European nights under the Trashton lights, don't you?

Waq & Hani are not pursuing a new ground, they have been open and said the UWE deal is dead and that sometime in the future, they propose / hope to refurbish the MEM. As I understand it their business (DWAYNE SPORTS ?) bought the club / debt, making it easy to sell on. Not sure they have actually put any of their own money into club, as they rarely talk to the supporters and do not say much when they do. And as for the pitch, I am of the opinion a contractor is currently correcting the drainage, with a view to coming back in a few weeks time to undertake over-seeding. Tbh I quite like our **** ground; although, I am disappointed when I remember how Swansea City and particularly Brighton & Hove Albion were supposed to be going out of business one minute and the next thing they are both playing in the premiership in brand spanking new grounds. Unfortunately, although I hope I am proved wrong, I cannot see Waq & Hani delivering anything more than a "make do and mend" solution.

If the council were to build the "Arena" in Filton, maybe there would be a case for tagging a stadium alongside it

you are of the opinion, someone is sorting the drainage and they may, or may not come back to do the seeding of the pitch
What the actual..

As PH57 suggests this is all what's announced on the OS: "Contractors M J Abbott were on site at the Mem to oversee the initial phase of work, which began on Monday. Contract Manager, Nathan George, spoke with Club to detail how the process will work, which includes enhancing the drainage and liaising with the ground staff to ensure the surface is ready for reseeding in a few weeks time" There's no mention of any expensive pitch being laid?

namely, we have paid someone to dig up the pitch, sort the drainage, but they may not come back to do anything else. Presumably if they don't someone else will as we need a pitch

As CGH suggests why are you choosing to ignore the "facts" on this topic?
