On another note,i see Chelsea are not proceeding with their new stadium due to the current investment climate. Ahh yes, now there's a comparable situation to our own!

It is if that's the reason for the delay, as I think we would use outside investment if we built a new stadium based on the industry our owners work in. However, it sounds more like a toys out the pram because of the visa issues.

What we are seeing at the Mem isn't redevelopment it's ways of increasing income. Also it was not unknown for supporters to get in to the Mem for free. You show your ticket to a steward and say you want to go to the shop. Wander down the back of the stand, hand your ticket to your mate through the fence, he comes in and tells the steward he want to go to the shop. I've seen it done on a regular basis. The improvements will stop this and make the ground secure, which is part of the EFL rules. Regarding the bar, lots of people don't use it as they don't want a shoving game and have to gulp it down quickly. This isn't about improving the "experience" it's about making more money.
Quote "the new turnstiles will pay for themselves within a year" So that will be 2 people on duty and not 6.
It's still a turd

Surely if you make more money by making things more efficient and improving the experience it's win-win. I mean you could say that about any business; it wasn't about making a pair of trainers I wanted to buy, it was just about making more money; it wasn't about creating a good meal and eating it in a pleasant ambience with good service, it was about making more money; it wasn't about making a film I wanted to see, it was just about making more money.

Good one Hugo, I will try it out for you on the Blackthorn and hopefully enough voices will carry it South! Maybe you can get topless, grab a megaphone and stand on the advertising board and shout the lyrics at the top of voice to the onlooking crowd. If that doesn’t get the atmosphere going, I don’t know what will.

I have been in contact with Tom Gorringe, he says information on the new stands, shop and bars will be put on the clubs website next week. The South stand is made by the arena group. If you google arena prefabricated stands and click on premium stands you will see what they have to offer, the metal roof stands actually don't look to bad much better than the tented stands we have now, but there again that is not difficult.

At least amongst us, there is one who investigates and comes up with the truth - well-done inspector wertongas - it makes interesting reading

Beautiful day today, don’t see what there is to be miserable about.

So to be sure . A family stand is going up behind East terrace ( near tea hut ). Will the away stand replace the terracing area ? Will the South / West stand be replaced ? Is the South Stand being extended ?.
