I had mine today for the North Terrace. On the card it says seat number Row A Seat 1172. Is this a sign? The ST I received for West Enclosure/Terrace has a seat number on it as well...... ? It's a generic number. Just ignore it.

Its the magic f up in the corner Wonder what that stands for? I guess it's Flex Card. There's an account number + a 4 digit number under where the card is stuck on the letter, I take it that's not a pin. Seems pretty basic like a bus card

Plenty of people in the shop buying season tickets today. How's that possible? It took nigh on 4 months to get my card through from the time I paid, but you can go into the shop, buy a Season Ticket, and they'll be with you by the 11th? Maybe I'm not understanding.

I wasn't able to renew my season at the initial deadline but planned to do so if they became available again at a later date. Now that time has come I'm really 50/50 as to whether I should bother, my lack of enthusiasm stems from there being no communication re a stadium and the inability to replace Ellis. My alternative plan would be to revert back to being pay on the day which I did for virtually every game for a few years before becoming a ST holder. However, I'm not sure I can be arsed as there is no cash at the turnstiles. Pay on the day will now have to queue at the ticket office or purchase in advance. Can anyone hazard a guess as to what the affect will be on attendances this season? What proportion of our usual gates would have been casual fans paying on the day and will they be put off from going? Fingers crossed for a positive result tomorrow and I will be online purchasing a ST at 5pm! 5pm came and went and I didn't feel sufficiently inspired by today's result or the proposed striker purchase to renew my ST

I don't know how the cards work, but I'd guess they're just a simple unique identifier. It can't update its info, it just casts its own number. When you go through the turnstile the computer senses the number checks it's legit and then opens the gate. There's no reason why you couldn't have the same sort of equipment in the food huts. Just wave your card at it, and it checks whether you've had your pasty deal or not. You could then make any sort of deal/offer at any time, and the system would make sure you can get the thing you're eligible for. I imagine they would use the same idea for match vouchers as well. Having said all that, I don't expect any of this to actually work on Saturday.

I sense it's just a bit of plastic with your ID on it and the new machines are just sime card counters, if so, there should be little chance of them not working on Saturday or it being an issue on if they don't hence why there's been no need to test them pre-season.

An operator still has to push the pedal to allow you in appranrently. The worst that will happen i imagine is that you show someone your card.
This is a small step in what the system could be in the future i presume.
Partly done to stop the ST fraud and people disappearing in the shop for free entry etc to begin with
