I was reading it in a waiting room today as it had a large Football season preview section. Worryingly at least a couple of pundits suggested we could be in line for relegation - the reason given that we keep selling our goalscorers and without recruiting adequate replacements, then it's got to come home to roost at some point.
Now I'm not a doom and gloom merchant, but we must get a couple of players in before the deadline or we will struggle to replace Ellis's goals, all round effort, and his defensive work.

I predict we will win this league at a canter.

I predict we will win this league at a canter. I have a nagging doubt about that.

They couldn't tell a zebra from a donkey.
Ok, being serious, talk of relegation is silly. Some random bloke on twitter had us as 23rd (with his team, Southend in the automatic promo slots of course).
Yes we could (any team could) but the evidence to put us in bottom 4 is just not there. We've made some excellent signings & had 2 stable seasons.
I'd be far more concerned if I was a Walsall, Rochdale, Shrewsbury fan.

Not sure they need to be in the game to tell us that, it's fairly obvious if we don't replace EH with somebody half decent then we'll struggle but if we do there's no reason we can't finish higher than last season given that DC's summer recruitments seem overall to be improvements on the players they've replaced.

They've been involved in the game for years and I've spoken to them during the past couple of weeks. Better?

Based on the squad as it stands at present I personally wouldn't say talk of relegation is silly, that's why DC/the ALQ's need to pull their fingers out and get in a decent replacement for Harrison.

Going into the last few days with one untried striker and Nichols, I'd say we are nailed on for relegation.
We need at least 2 in the door pdq.

I think we are a dark horse to win the league. It may even be a one horse race. No I am not horsing around and yes I am hung like a horse.
And of course I am very stable. Cant you tell?

Ha sussed me! No it was a waiting area at the Goodwood Gym, waiting for swmbo.
With Glorious Goodwood on at the moment, the Racing Post would be essential reading for those interested. The football section was pretty thorough on all divisions. I, like Hugo, do fear for us without some more recruits. Our defence has proved itself to be a bit fragile at times, and without a goal scorer we can't sty up with 0-0 draws!

According to Oddschecker we're 10th favourite to go up and 15th favourites to go down, make if that what you will but bookies are rarely way off versus some pundits in a horse racing paper, and that's without 2 possible strikers being signed.
