Don't forget the goal machine that is Tom Nichols Nicholls will come good this season. All the odds and facts are against him, which Is why I know he's gonna be a success.
The player who was booed by his own fans when he was at Posh. Wonder Why?

Healey was going well and highly regarded at Cardiff before nasty ACL and medial ligament injury.
Depending on how well he's recovered could be a good signing but not without risk.

I don't think Rovers have gone for any of them, or the players haven't signed for the club if we were in for them. I think Dave Penney and Martin Foyle would have moved for 2 or 3 suggestions and wanted to meet me for a chat, but they were sacked a few days later and that was that! I've done bits and pieces for a non-league club years ago. They signed Jamie White, wasn’t he one of yours Wes ? Not directly, no. I've told you before Dinsdale, I wouldn't have signed White when we did and I wanted to sign him 2 years before he joined us. I would've signed him then as a 3rd or 4th choice 'development' type player, not as a first choice like we eventually did. By the time we got round to signing him he had suffered a few injuries and had put on weight.

Agreed, I honestly think Nicholls will score double figures this season. Serious question, on what basis? He's played v 3, or at least 2, Div 2 teams already and all he's done is miss an open goal. I’ve seen him comb his hair with his hand probably a hundred times since he signed. I’ve seen him score one goal since he signed.

See Bogle is going on loan to Ipswich now. Will that effect the Healey deal, if it's still on the table? Seems weird he was supposed to sign yesterday apparently, but then nothing happened. Can't see him playing in the Premier league though, so might not have any impact anyway.

Signs?
I suppose that if the deadline was 12.00 noon for signing a forward and that it is now 2.35pm the signs are that we will be signing someone today. Alternatively the club may have sought to avoid a melt-down by withdrawing any mention of signage.

He might have thought I don't want to go there.

DC said "we are in advance talks", "but that these things can hit the buffers" Somehow, the BEP interprets that line as "someone is signing today" and then gaschat interprets it as "The club promised a new striker by the Posh game"

And then we wonder why the club supposedly don't communicate... Do you really think a the comments on this forum are the reason why there is silence from our Board about all things. Do you really think they say nothing about plans, the Colony training ground and stadium developments etc. because we grumble? I suggest we grumble partly due to all the things we've been told will happen never actually do. I think the Board decided better to say nothing than continually promising things that never happen. Still lets hope for a couple of half decent No 9s either later today or next week.

I'm not saying that, but I can perfectly understand the Board's reluctance to communicate when there's nothing to communicate. I can also understand that because we are so desperate to hear what we want to hear, we twist what we do get told to fit what we want it to say. The example Contradiction gave shows this perfectly. I believe Steve Hamer aluded to this himself recently.

Is it 5.00 pm the cut-off time for registering a new player with EFL if he's to be included in squad tomorrow?

Anybody supporting the club on this particularly issue is either a WUM or blinded by thier Rose Tinted spec, with the "missing" stands news you do have to wonder what's going on in the background we don't know about.

And then we wonder why the club supposedly don't communicate... Gas1970 say Board don't communicate cus they've got nothing to say or cus they are fearful we will twist or misunderstand what they do say? Sound reasonable to me ?

Is it 5.00 pm the cut-off time for registering a new player with EFL if he's to be included in squad tomorrow? According to the post, it's 12.00 which would make it too late for any new signing to play. Hope there haven't been any last minute buffers to the deal as DC alluded to.
