Well, this summer has been challenging for a start. What's more worrying is that I'm not sure everything in the garden is rosy but as no one who claims to know will come out with it they are complicit in any potential downfall. Challenging is putting it mildly! We still keep getting told though that we'll find out soon enough what this big issue is but nothing ever seems to happen! How many times have these individuals been asked to "put up or shut up"? It frustrates me that they sit there and spout what may or may not be bolloxs; but never supply any concrete evidence. Nobody has died due to these changes and delays; lets all get down the Mem on Saturday and do what we all claim to do - support the team

He blames BRFC for everything. He's so against the current regime and he wants them to fail. I want any BRFC regime to succeed but when I know we are being feed BS I get a bit upset. I seem to remember Gasinsider being slagged off for comments he has made in the past but now many others are saying the same thing on various threads, so should we slagg them off also? I actually believe that SH is trying his best for BRFC but I cannot say the same for the owner or the Commercial Director. Hopefully things will change and as I have always said, I'm still 99.99% certain UWE will be built. Would that be the same commercial director who has brought in an extra £250k of sponsorship over the last waste of space ?

Spot on Roverdrive. No way is the club responsible for the delays. You only have to look at how prestigious the supplying company is on their website to realise a tinpot company like Bristol Rovers would be on very sticky ground if they were shifting the blame to a leading company in their field. They obviously know what they are doing, the temporary pool for the synchronised swimming at the Euros is an example of what can be achieved. Severncider should retract his libelous statement and if he does not will hopefully never grace the corridors of power again. Incidentally I don't expect any retraction from him as he has a track record of itk information that has never come to fruition and he clearly has an agenda against the powers that be at the club. Where have I said that the suppliers are at fault? Suggest you read read my post. I or Roverdrive have not said you had said the suppliers were at fault. You blamed our owners, their statement clearly said the football club was not at fault.

It is not the suppliers that have been blamed it is the installers , the stands are being made in France and imported, the installer also has the 5 million pound contract to improve Home Park Plymouth and Exeter city's ground, so they have irons in many fires and that may have influenced the delay. Perhaps Rovers should have sorted things out with planning (which needed to be done to avoid getting planning permission) and put orders in earlier but Tom G has not been at the club very long and has done a lot of work in a very short space of time.

Or if you are Severncider the club is to blame

UWE will just build it smaller for their own use.

Genuine question. You clearly feel the SC in its current format are ineffective at best. Why don't you actually do something about it instead of pontificating on here? I know I'm being a little facetious but it's a genuine question. I have made my peace. Been there, seen it and know nothing happens because hardly anyone ever actually stands up to be counted when it matters. My point is, and the likes of the ciders will well know, is if things are as bad as they make out, why is the SC so quiet. If things were to go tits up, I doubt any of us would be lookingat the SC as a vehicle for change in its current form. Many years ago, i thought i may be someone the SC could have used for many years, but things happened and that was never going to happen. Now I am a 'youngish' father and I dont have time. Maybe in a few years time i can have my wife hate me and spend more time bothering eith the football club. And i dont have the benefit of having my finger on the pulse or the ear of people who clearly could use it for good if it is so bad I totally respect your answer. I guess when it comes to the SC apathy rules and only people of a certain age tend to have the time to offer to make a difference. I would wager the same is felt by some about the current board. Many spent a great deal of time trying to affect change under previous boards to no effect. I guess apathy rules about trying to make positive changes under the current regime. They have also made it quite clear that they do not want any input from fans/supporters groups so why bother?! I quite like this board to be fair but think they over promise and under deliver too frequently and are also getting the balance of where to invest time/money slightly wrong. They didn't have a particularly high bar following NH though to be fair!!

I always find the idea that as you get older you have more time strange .... As I have got older I have less time, don't kid yourself the young are hard done by in terms of free time, often they just choose to do other things..... A good few years before I retire but those I know who have tell me they have never been busier .... :-) I guess we all try to get a bit more in when we realise we have not got long left :-)

Hence less time....simples.🤪

Truth is this summer has been a pain in the arse. Some of the "changes" are just baffling. You cannot buy a ticket in the shop. Well that's the sale of scarfs, books and other tat gone down. Then the stands. Apart from the one in the South West corner, I think the others will look embarrassing. why they didn't put another section on the south stand ? no one will ever know. Then there is the player situation. There must be something serious as to why no strikers want to come here. Then the £4 sausage roll. Goringe says it is a quality product. Yeah right. All football grounds have quality products don't they. My prediction is that there will be less food and drink sales this year, and probably less programme sales too, although the sale of them has been dropping for years

The club seem to have forgot the lifeline of this club is the fans, they need to get there finger back on the pulse ASAP . Don’t take us for granted ! UTG

When I was younger right someone told me that nothing rhymes with orange. And that was true at the time. It had a profound enough effect on me that I remember to this day feeling pretty impressed by that. The immediate interested surprise, the challenge in trying to find a word that did and then the satisfied failure in discovering that indeed nothing does rhyme with orange and I'm going to tell everyone I know about that. I built a childhood on that pretty much. I built friendships on it. And then straight out of the blue this Tom Goringe character turns up and I honestly have no idea what is real anymore.

When you stop working you have lots of free time to fill. Some might fill that time volunteering for the SC for example which correlates with why people get busier; they fill that time with things they would like to do,rather than things they have to do.

With the stands being built here in France it's no wonder they won't be installed until September. The whole of France goes on holiday in August and they all head south to the Mediterranean. Factories close and most people have 3 weeks off!

"why they didn't put another section on the south stand ? "
I assume this is because the next thing to be rebuilt properly will be the south stand....

"why they didn't put another section on the south stand ? " I assume this is because the next thing to be rebuilt properly will be the south stand.... That was only refurb. last summer? I can't see any major development taking place until a decision is about the Mem's future, when that will ever be made is anybody's guess. In NH's era it was suggested all the telecom etc wiring is situated in that corner and moving it would be prohibitive plus I thought somebody suggested there were light issues with the Alton(?) Road houses/residents. On this issue what;s happening with the new away stand has that now been binned as there's no mention of that stands arrival in the latest update, it also seems to be missing from the stadium plan for the Crawley match tickets but the new family stand is still shown.
