After the continued gloom over the last week or so with star players leaving the club, no new replacements in site, no stands etc etc, its time we had some good news.
SO if anybody has ANY good news to boost our deflated love for the club please post it NOW because we need something NOW.
Sadly i have no good news only bad news so i won't post it here !

Its raining so we dont have to use as much water to water the pitch, which in turn will save money on our water bill that apparently we cant afford

Being serious...
A matchday programme is being produced & although it won't be as good as before, it will get done and, as usual, it will have my two articles in it.
Vitalijs Astafjevs & Sergio Ommel are the BRFC / BRFPA guests at the match on Saturday, & will be on pitch at HT etc.

Turnstiles wont work on Saturday No home shirts available to buy yet Match day programme will arrive late (on Monday) No new stands/tents No new strikers New bars will have to put back to the original state as we failed to get planning permission for it Given away next seasons shirt sponsorship for free to MiniBet as we cocked up the number allowed gambling companies for sponsors
But its all positive as we are facing only Accrington Stanley..... Who are they?

Who are they?Only our bogey team, I can just see the melt down on here on Saturday when we start with just Nichols upfront v two 6' northern giants and then get tonked after Accy's new signing Stefan Payne scores a hat trick on his debut. As HG suggests surely we are due some good news??

GOOD NEWS!!!! Being in League 1? after literally being a non league club a few years ago and could still be there now if not for 5 great penalties. Most of us would of chopped off our left bollock to be where we are now back then. The only reason we water and moan so much is because of whats happening with them inbreds the other side of the river great stadium more money Pretty much better everything apart from our fans. If city wasn't in the picture and it was just us their wouldn't be half the moaning that goes on. Because were trying to compete with a rival we just cant compete with at the moment. so just take stock of what we have achieved in the last few seasons and forget them and everyone might just feel that little bit more happier. (MAYBE) UTG

(MAYBE) UTG Nonsense we moaned just as much when we were last in Div 1 and SL hadn't started his spending spree, what's irritating is we now have apparently wealthy foreign owners who don't want to really invest in the club. Although the real danger is if we get City like you say we'll eventually become similar to Port Vale and Stoke, you can now never see the latter ever getting on similar terms.

You could have said the same about Bournemouth and Southampton a few years ago. Or Man C and Man U.

Although the real danger is if we get City like you say we'll eventually become similar to Port Vale and Stokemyou can now never see the latter ever getting on similar terms. I believe that City are so far ahead of us we are like Port Vale and Stoke, and a lesser extent Notts Cnty and Forest, especially if Forest go up this year as expected. The days of us meeting City on fairly equal terms have gone for good. They are the larger club, the more wealthy club with an all singing and dancing stadium and training ground. I have no idea why the Al Qadi's bought us, but when they did I was carried along with the new training ground and UWE hope. Alas, neither look like they are happening. I wonder if they researched the club? Or was it a spur of the moment thing, the truth is that although we now have a development squad and what seems a lot of coaches, we also have a lot of background staff, and do we need them all? Do we need a chairman and a Chief Exec? Especially when Wael says he will be here more often. It is interesting that Geoff Dunford although he brought us back to Bristol and ultimately got us the Mem, never looked at it as our long term home. Likewise Higgs though we would soon leaving it behind. Now refurbished store, and bar and 3 very small stands on their way; and what does that say to you? To me it says another 10 years at the Mem. The no news training ground tells me another 5 years whilst the Al qadis try and get a housing estate on half of it. Meanwhile the Mem will be continually "upgraded" with maybe even more little stands. I remember when we used to go to Oxfords old ground and laugh at the 7 or 8 stands they had, now no doubt when they come to us they will be the ones laughing. I think both the training ground and the stadium to some point rely on us getting promotion, and it would not surprise me if we were to be sold the moment we went up. But there is a problem with that, and the problem is we have as much chance of going up as I have dancing at a charity gala before the Queen, because the Al Quadis, will not spend the money that is required to get some decent players in. In the great scheme of things it is not too much to get Devante Cole in. The Al Quadis could afford it, easily. I think the "evolution" is more like "let's see how it goes." Meanwhile, the striker situation I lay purely at DC's feet. The squad is un balanced with some ropey defenders at the back, 101 midfielders, and perhaps one of the worst signings up front. Last season I was really annoyed that we had Telford on the bench whilst at the same time the useless Nichols on the pitch. I don't blame Nichols for being useless, but I do blame DC for spunking all that money on him. And I believe that is why he hasn't had a lot of money to spend, or perhaps he spent most of this summers money in January, when he signed Bennet, who is good, and an "experienced" defender who joins the back four circus. Not ONE of them can win a decent header as we saw against Peterborough. I really cannot see us do anything spectacular this season, especially as all the problems we have had trying to get a cheap forward in. I would like to say to DC, "If you are here next season, do you think that we can have a squad that is solid all they way through? Could we try and win the first game? and could we have a cup run of more than one game? To the Al Quadis I would say, " if you are still here next season can you make sure that we have a training ground that is really good, because you can afford it, and there will be no evolution if we don't have it. I have already given up any hope of a new ground in my life time. I am just glad that I am old enough to remember 30,000 at Eastville.
