If Bonham is solid at the back perhaps we'll start climbing the stairway to heaven! Not while we're so dazed and confused. Edit .....Just seen someone posted similar

Talking of goalies! Met Brian Parkin in Bath today! Couldn’t help it as he was my favourite player as a kid, so got an autograph and had a chat! Working for saints academy in Bath! Top bloke!

As good a keeper as we have had in many a year. Great shot stopper, big in one on one situations & looks to command his area at all times despite have a pair of small CHs in front of him. Big boot on him too. Another gem from DC 😜

I'm sure he is enjoying the opportunity to play and show what he can do - I just hope he doesn't feel that the rest of the team and set up aren't what he wants, especially if relegation to League 2 remains a distinct possibility, if/when we do try to sign him permanently.
Edit - Just noticed that the Brentford Head Coach/Manager has just left to join Aston Villa. I wonder how that might affect Bonham's stay with us for the remainder if the season, and longer term. Presumably they can't call him back?

Watertight......oh hang on....🤪 Both fair points. It is a season long loan so unless there is some break clause hopefully he's ours for the season. Wonder if we could even sign him on a pre-contract if he carries on being as good as he is? BTW - classic thread - please can people wait until a player has played some games before the crass comments? And even taking the mick that he's not smiling in the photo. Maybe that was a 'joke' but FFS it is a job to people & they also have their own human personalities. All I want is to see good performances on the pitch (match day and trg pitch), a good influence in the dressing room, and (hopefully) a positive & moral personality.

Watching the Yeovil highlights he really did make some terrific saves. Worrying to see our defence split wide open so easily though.

By coincidence MS stated in his post Yeovil interview JB is a very serious guy who takes his football seriously and rarely smiles!! I'd say at present JB is a better goalie for us than Lumley, who was also apparently a similarly serious guy according to MS, and he's now QPR's first choice, I just winder if Brentford will be prepared to just let him leave on a free just because his contract his up. Another issue with JB is that he was apparently fantastic for Carlisle for a the first half of the season but not the second so it'll be interesting to see if he's improve with age.

I think it should be pointed out that Brentford have possibly the best goalkeeper in the Championship with Daniel Bentley, a decent backup in Luke Daniels, but also on their books is the highly-rated England U20 international Ellery Balcombe, Iceland U19 international Patrik Gunnarsson and the Sweden U18 international Simon Andersson. With all of those good goalkeepers on their books it might mean they are more inclined to do a deal for Bonham in January.

Don't forget other clubs will have seen or heard about Bonham's performances so far and as we haven't got a pot to water in it wouldn't take much to offer him more than we can.
Lets not get ahead of ourselves anyway, some were creaming over Bennetts performances last season and he is now showing why Portsmouth let him go.
One thing is certain, our defence will give him a lot to do!

There is not a lot to praise at the moment bb, we are in good shape for next season though if beating L2 sides counts towards anything

The only certain thing is that if we pick up and move up the league you will vanish from the forum.

Come on B.B. that’s a bit harsh. LMW doesn’t need anyone’s to speak for him but his posts are usually worth reading and he doesn’t just criticise. UTG!
