...is a term/concept you hear of more and more these days. I trust that, whatever is going on behind the scenes, the Al Qaedis bear this in mind. They swept in here, raised everyone's hopes (though we were partly to blame for that), paraded across the pitch and enjoyed the adulation and gave every indication that they were here for the long haul; hence Evolution not Revolution.
If new owners are on the way it is in the Al Qaedi's interest to get a deal that is not only good for them, but especially good for the club. People outside the footballing fraternity will be aware of their involvement with Bristol Rovers. They are in banking , and they cannot afford their reputation
in that circle to be tarnished.
I mean, if you can't trust a banker, who can you trust?

I mean, if you can't trust a banker, who can you trust? Don't get why everyone is jumping on the we are being sold rumour? I have heard something different about outside investment as a commercial partnership which I'm not saying is true but I haven't seen anything factual that would point to us being sold again so soon.? If the Al Qadi's did sell so soon would it not damage their reputation as they'd be seen as having failed?

I mean, if you can't trust a banker, who can you trust? I would think that reputational damage in Jordan would be minuscule and their side of the story would hold more credence than ours.

Now let me just think long and hard about this:
15 million quid from a property developer
Vs
9,000 angry geezers 1,000 miles away.
Yep, you got me. That really is a tough one....

In reality, its what we do on the pitch that really enhances or erodes our reputation (beyond a fans forum, obviously)

I mean, if you can't trust a banker, who can you trust? I went on a training course about 20 years ago while unemployed, aimed at turning us all into self-employed entrepreneurs. Guy running it slagged off bankers as devious, deceitful spivs all week. Told loads of anecdotes about their misdeeds. He should know - he was an ex-banker!!!

Could've probably just added this with the 23 pages or whatever in the other thread but fair enough, agreed.

Money is loaned into creation out of thin air at the click of a computer keyboard by the High St Banks at virtually no cost and they are allowed to charge interest on that loan. Who would be a poor Banker?

We have debts that are currently being underwritten by credit from Dwayne which has a security against the Mem which any sensible financier would do. The security protects them and us against any other creditors putting security on the stadium. There has been no indication that the underwriting of the debt won't continue and they are continuing to play the long game of creating the strategic building blocks before then receiving greater benefits in the long term. Like any strategic transformational project, you make loss (which you try to minimise without degrading the long term vision) in the first couple of years before you then make a profit which will reduce long term debt and move towards sustainability. ....

True although it was commonly and publicly known the club was up for sale. We don't have that here and if anything we have the opposite being said. Also I can't see why anyone who would be selling would put in as much as they have recently to then sell as they wouldn't get an equivalent return (thinking staff costs etc rather than the cosmetics that have been done)...

If there's no truth in the rumours why don't the club just deny that the case as it's now all over both forums and FB.
