When the players are approached to join BRFC, part of the "attraction" is being told that a new ground is on its way, that 1st class training facilities will be provided, that a huge fan base is right behind the club and their is a sucessful manager who is hungry for more sucess. If I heard all that in my job interview and decided this was the firm I wanted to work for, only in very short order to find that most of it has been false promises, I would be pretty ticked off and therefor not be able to perform to my best. So as per the vote above: Owners Players/Manager equally Fans Nothing else. How do you know that?

People still pedalling this one? Apparently he was lucky because we should have lost at Wembley in the Conference and he was lucky because we scored in the last minute in League 2 promotion. Guess people forgot he was unlucky when our keeper dropped the ball to cost us the conference title and I’m assuming Accrinton had no luck whatsoever getting to their points tally in Leaguw 2. Oh, and were his other promotions lucky before he joined us?

In the days when dc was lucky The manager makes the signings. You cant say his good signings were somebody elses idea and nothing to do with dc but his bad ones are totally his fault. Billy bodin was just coming out of a serious injury, even if he knew nothing at all about billy it was dc who decided to use some of his precious budget and make the signing.

Much like our new left back, what’s his name Homes- under the hammer or something? I don’t really understand why we signed a guy who won’t be fit to play until next year? But let’s hope he turns out to be as successful as Bodin but time will tell if this was the right decision in the end. All a bit bizarre though really.

No it doesnt. It stops with the Board. And it his their responsibility to support the manager of the playing side. IMO they don't even give much respect to the fans. Its an itinerary of broken promises, false hopes, no communication and a lack of budget and investment that roles into DC's lap and he has to piece together what he can from the crap he is given. He can only do so much.

I cannot believe that paying £355k for Nichols and then bringing in 3 players in January is a lack of backing. They were not to know DC had bought a pup, and to be honest if I was on the board spending MY money I would want to know from DC why he is buying players that are not performing and what he is going to do about itIf I was DC I'd be saying to the board I helped to improve another player to end up making the club nearly a £1million (should have been more). Not to mention the £300k for Matty Taylor (cost nothing) and £400k for Billy Bodin (cost nothing). I think these players should all have gone for more than they did too which is not a fault of DC's. Exactly this. He also got the best out of players in L2 which quite Frankly, were conference level at best who really got found out once the step up was made. He also made Lee Brown a L1 player, who according to many on here was L2 at best. Not DC's fault his contract was not renewed and he was allowed to walk.

That's really disrespectful to players who formed the core of a team that achieved promotion out of the conference, L2 and went on to finish in the top 10 of league one. Players such as Sinclair and Leadbitter have more than earned the right to play in the football league, it wasn't that long ago that DC said Sinclair had the admiration of many managers in L1 and Leadbitter was linked with a move to Wigan. Just because we are going through a bad patch now doesn't mean that the achievements of some of our players should be forgotten about.

I have wondered if tariq-holmes had a setback with his knee injury after we signed him.
