There are a lot of things not right at the moment. I can't help but think that hearing SH slam players and tactics live on Radio Bristol is a really bad move. It reflects very poorly on the judgement of the senior management at the club, and can do nothing but harm for player morale and DCs feeling of being undermined rather than supported publicly. The place for SH to question DC is face to face and behind closed doors. Sort it out Wael!

Maybe we should have another poll.
Do you think:
A. Hamer should go coz he never communicates or says what he means, and you can never get a straight answer out of him.
B. Hamer should go coz he's always saying what he thinks and giving his opinion too forthrightly.
C. Hamer should go coz my Jack mate doesn't like him.

Surely one of the players not playing would be better. The chairman of the football club should NOT be commentating on games. He has never played football to a decent level from what i am a aware of. Surely one the players not involved should be doing if anything.

Well if th players are listening ta th commentary while playin no wonder we're sh1te! Commentary is that what you call it? Hamer to commentating is about as natural as Peter Beadle to hang gliding. Totally embarrassing and really awkward to listen to, how can he criticise after some of the wonderful gaffs he makes? One word BUFFOON!

More to the point how can he criticise when he's part of the overall leadership team, it does beggar belief assuming Wael still watches the games via iFollow I wonder what he makes of it.

Haven't listened to one of his co-commentaries, so can't in all honesty give an opinion.

Seems unfair to criticise Steve Hamer from a football point of view. He did play football to a decent level for a decade and has shown in his life to be a passionate and knowledgeable man about football. He does care about football and football clubs.
Whether he's the right person for co-commentary is a separate issue.

I'm in 2 minds about this.
On one hand I say fair play to SH for telling it how he sees it, for someone who is constantly criticised for being like a politician, he has certainly been showing a different side of himself in his commentary.
On the other hand KB had that knack of being able to commentate and provide a level of criticism when due without coming across as being overly harsh which does seem odd when SH does it considering his position!

I wonder what his role was there?

What's there to take up behind closed doors? It's there for everyone to see in the stats: one shot on goal the entire match. And it hasn't been much better in many of the other games either. Payne and Nichols drift wide or deep to get the ball and stodge up midfield even more, especially Nichols with his short pass to anyone who happens to be around. There's no pace, no guile, no smiling faces, no idea and no friction' goals! Steve Hamer's right, If you don't go for it in football you might as well pack it in. He's seen as many drab, dire and absolute crappy performances as I have, so I'm surprised he hasn't had a bigger dig at the boring tactics and inept performances that always follow from boring tactics. The one thing I don't agree with Hamer on is his assertion that Nichols will come good. Can't see that happening.
