According to the messages scribbled in the Gents at work, the bar is set quite low!! You had your chance when I met up with you a couple of weeks ago. Next time bring Scooby snacks Fair's fair Scooby, I didn't recognise you at first. At least not from the front anyway. 😇

I have it on very good authority that maybe today could be the day, what do you think ? I think that the 'good authority' might not be very good....

Smiv on YouTube, who puts up, for those of you who do not know, the internet's greatest football ground reviews, has just posted one of MK Dons v Yeovil. 7,500 rattling round in a big stadium very very similar to the UWE. A very depressing looking experience. The Mem, with similar attendances, has a vastly superior atmosphere.

Your point it valid, just look at Doncaster the other night, which I feel is a more realistic example because: 1. MK Stadium is much bigger than UWE. Nearly 50% larger. However, I think the bottom tier is roughly the same size as UWE would have been 2. Because it's 2 tiers, the roof is very high making the atmosphere even worse when empty 3. MK Dons are hardly known for an atmosphere or passionate fans. Just look when the goal goes in, there's no roar of "YEEEEEE" its more of a couple of people going, "wahhhayyyy up the dons" - just look at the crowd, I reckon 50% of them didn't even get out of their seats when they scored. Rovers would never have anything like that support, I love the sound of the Mem when a goal goes in, that roar is wicked - the view of people jumping out of their seats in the East terrace, it's wicked. I don't think we'd have that sort of atmosphere, personally. I have to say though, I am surprised how low 7,500 looks in the stadium - mind you, I do also think that we'd be averaging 11/12k in a new stadium in L1 (just my opinion of course)

We are bigger club than mk dons think there would be a few more gasheads rattling around if we had a nice all seater. If we're ever ambitious enough, is like rover to build something that was at least 20k.

ANybody live down Avonmouth, who know's of any prospective sites we are looking at ? Yeah, it's close to the new junction on the M49. You can see in the top right of this picture that our new secret stadium is actually about 90% finished.

I looked around and thought there was only 2 to 3k in there amazed when the gate was 7500. The lack of atmosphere made it feel like a complete non event, bit like watching a training game between two poor teams. That said the facilities are first class

Not sure where they got that idea from but kind of quite like it.....😁

No, of course I'm not. I just thought it was an interesting video. But since it looks like we're going nowhere fast, we can at least enjoy the atmosphere our crappy ground generates.

But since it looks like we're going nowhere fast, we can at least enjoy the atmosphere our crappy ground generates. Yeah, although it's a sh** ground and is no good for our progress as a club, it has some positive points (location, atmosphere, erm...) which we will look back on with some fondness once we do get a money-generating, out-of-town, lego-build, soulless-bowl type stadium. So we may as well enjoy that while we have it, and not let our desire for a new stadium in the future dull the present.
