THIS IS NOT A RUMOUR, I AM NOT IN THE KNOW! I just can't get it out of my mind we are ripe to be bought by Lansdown. He would get the Mem, worth a fortune with planning for houses. We would play at AG eventually so he would save 45 mill on a new stadium. He would persue his desire to own other sporting clubs under Bristol Sport. He has the infrastructure to do this in place already and a pitch for regular use. I wouldn't be surprised Wael maintaing an interest whoever or if any one takes us over Perhaps the media will see this and ask him.

I think you needn't worry. I'm sure that in our current format we are a constant source of amusement for him and he's unlikely to have much interest beyond that.

A horrible thought, but your fears are unfounded.
I don't believe any person can have ANY involvement in 2 clubs, in any capacity, whatsoever.
Put your fears away and banish those nightmares!

Can't own 2 clubs in the same country. Well not in England anyway. Just never going to happen.

But his son could (financed by Daddy) Surely they wouldn't allow that. They have to do checks making sure the person taking over is legit. Although looking at some of the owner's in the football League, sometimes they don't check very well. Lansdowne junior has had a lot of involvement with c**y though, so doubt that would be allowed.

I think we’ve got enough to worry about without worrying about this. Like others have said it can’t legally happen anyway.

I think if he could own two clubs in England then Im sure that the idea would cross his mind. Not to see us be sucessful, but to put us out of business abit like Vince Mcmahon (WWE owner) did to WCW ( his rival company) back in the day - thats for you wrestling fans out there! 😄
In wackoland if that ever happened Bristol Rovers would just be reformed by the fans again like AFC wimbledon.

He literally wouldn't be allowed to even if he wanted to. UEFA are also looking into owning numerous clubs especially after the "Red Bull Derby" last week between RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg. This could effect plenty of clubs in the long run with the Pozzo family owning Udinese, Grenanda and Watford, as well as Roland Duchâtelet owning Charlton, Carl Zeiss Jena, Újpest and Alcorcon. It'll be interesting to see what happens, personally I don't think they'll do anything... Interestingly City Football Group (Manchester City) own percentages of football clubs in Europe, North America, South America, Australasia and Asia...

But his son could (financed by Daddy) No he couldn't.
2 clubs rule includes close relatives, and financing:
EFL rules www.efl.com/-more/governance/efl-rules--regulations/sections-10--11---association-and-dual-interests-and-additional-provisions/
104.1
Except with the prior written consent of the Board a person, or any associate of that person, who is interested in a Club cannot at the same time be interested in any other football club.
104.2
A person shall be deemed to be interested in a football club if he, whether directly or indirectly: ..
has lent to, gifted money to, or purchased future receivables from or guaranteed the debts or obligations of that football club (or any other arrangement of substantially similar effect) otherwise than in the ordinary course of banking.
Also
104.3
In any case where the person interested in a football club is an individual any of the following shall for the purposes of this Regulation 104 be deemed to be an ‘associate’ of that person: 104.3.1 a close relative of that person; or
104.3.2 anyone else of a close relationship with that person who, in the opinion of The League is or is likely to be acting with or who is financially dependent upon, that person; or
