I wouldn't have blamed him if he walked off the pitch. I would. I know I am not being politically correct but the bloke has made one hell of a song and dance about it. Players get shouted abuse at week in, week out but yet because it's a racist comment it is all blown out of proportion. Yes, there is no place for racism and those shouting it should have been thrown out but as a player you just need to get on with instead of moaning like a bitch. If something was thrown then I could have understood it. Well I'm offended by it. Should I have left? Should I have just 'got on with it'? I'll tell you this mate. Not only is your statement inflammatory it also shows a real lack of intellect and awareness about cultural history. If you're not trolling and I bloody well hope you are then I suggest you ask victims of racism how they feel about being racially abused. Then come back and say your piece.

I think it's racism and I think anyone who is racially abused shouldn't be subjected to anything like that. Therefore I wouldn't have blamed him should he had wished to walk off the pitch. He chose not to, more power to him for showing strength, but to go one further and say that he shouldn't have pointed it out to a ref or to a steward is just silly, even if you put it as 'making a song and dance'.

Tw@t Completely agree but I think this idiot was happy to hurl racial and any other abuse at Chris Zebroski last season which was a total embarrassment.
Couple of pennies short of a pound and someone that should be weeded out of the club.

Do we have more idiotic fans than other clubs? Does that mean it's acceptable in our club?

Really good to see their keeper stand his ground and keep pointing out the offender, which finally made the stewards 'do something'. Very brave.
There is simply no excuse for this moronic behaviour. I hope the Club point out that this will not be tolerated and ban the fan's who did this for life. For those who think he should take it and get on with it? - Bollox! This is just a poor excuse to let it continue, while conveniently forgetting those who are offended just as much are watching in the crowd.

Now, on Saturday against Dover, there were two idiots standing in the same place, hurling abuse, spitting at the opposing keeper for the whole of the second half. What did the stewards do, nothing and they were stood right next to them, so the club are doing nothing to stop this? A game on and it's now racism, how can our fans act in such a barbaric manner. I did see one led out, so I presume he was arrested and he should be banned, we don't need this at our club. We will eventually get some sort of punishment if things like this carry on at home and away, points deduction or a fine.

Brown

I get it must be hard for a steward to face that kind of wild animal mentality and noone wants to be a hero for 6 quid an hour and a handful of your own teeth. There has to be police on scene though surely.

As mentioned, sooner or later there will be a points deduction and to be honest, we are getting very close to deserving it. There have been issues in the last 6 months or so which are not fitting Bristol Rovers football club & we as fans need to start being more vocal against those that are dragging our clubs' name through the mud. Three points could cost us at the end of the season so I hope this element of morons, wether it be one or ten or however many are ready to see how negatively their actions will cost us all.

Do we have more idiotic fans than other clubs? Does that mean it's acceptable in our club? I never said it was, it was actually a genuine question because once again some idiot has managed to put us under bad spotlight. The conference will make an example of us sooner or later.

Amazingly, Jason gets branded a troublemaker for his outspoken attacks on racism. See:http://www.kentonline.co.uk/dartford/sport/troublemaker-brown-vows-to-keep-fighting-23871/ Fair play to this guy for not putting up with this poop. After reading that, it earns my respect even more. He said: "It makes it hard for me because when you’ve got someone like myself, who’s not scared to come out and say that these people are what they are, I’m branded a troublemaker when I’m simply the victim. Jason Roberts has always been rightfully outspoken on this issue and would back this guy all the way. (wow, when you write the word sh1t, the word is automatically turned into the word poop when posted! )
