His run in our team is doing him a lot of good, but if we go down I can't see him wanting to join us. I just hope there isn't a recall clause in the loan agreement - we could lose him in January if so and bigger opportunities come his way.

Not a surprise to me at all as he has been outstanding.

Why would he sign for us? I think he would get a championship club. We are a window for him and hes helping us out.

His manager has left to go to Villa so not sure how that might affect his stay with us.Burton game featured prominently on Midland's News this evening with so little football to report on.Seems Lincoln were just too good for Vale but our two loaness there not making much of an impact. Both on bench again at Vale.

Steve Philips 2007 Brian clough once said when asked about how to go about building a great side he said “ you bring in a top keeper then your half way there”

He's Brentford's fourth choice keeper and has never played higher than L1 before, the Brentford fans I spoke to didn't even rate him. I'm by no means knocking his ability from what I've seen of him he's a fantastic keeper capable of better but I think if we stay up and put a good offer on the table he'll stay with us, I just can't see Championship clubs taking a risk on him at this stage.

For his benefit and hard work, I hope he gets noticed and picked up on the national team, could open some doors for him and his future but the selfish side of me says KEEP HIM HIDDEN, every man for themselves!!! Would absolutely love to keep him after loan but at the rate of his form, we don't stand a chance in hell of keeping him

Only took the BEP 12 hours to pick up on the story evening though being a local rag you'd have thought they'd be 'on the ball' Oh, BEP. It's a 'shock call up' not 'sock call up' IMO I think the only thing missing from his game (at present) is catching/punching under pressure. Walsall seemed to be aware of this. However - & I'm repeating myself here - I'd rather have this commanding keeper who makes the odd error but is trusted by the back 4 rather than our previous who just made me - & possibly - the defence a bit nervous

A champ club might sign him as a no2 and the wages on offer would smash what we could stump up unfortunately. A spiteful little lady garden like Johnson might go in for him even. Enjoy him whilst he's here but hope i'm wrong, as I think it would be good business on what we have seen so far to get him permanently

A defence plays with far more confidence and awareness with a good keeper behind them who can back them up when required, save stuff that gets past them, and keep talking to them.

Both not good enough. Mad to think that Slocombe was our first choice at the start of the season, we would be rock bottom now with him or Smith in goal.

I sense our defence disapprove that theory as if Smith or Slocombe replaced Bonham I sense they'd look just as poor as they did pre-Bonham. In just the last 2 games bonham as saved 3(?) 1 on 1's v Yeovil, turned a goal bound shot around the post v Burton and most likely did enough to put the player off when he hit the inside of the post in that match. I think he saved 3 certain looking goals v Walsall.

Only mistake I have noticed was when he was announced MoM vs Walsall and ...... a few seconds later they scored through his legs!! He’s the best goalie we have had for some time?
