This is quite from LJ post match interview:
Problem with home form? "Yeah, it’s not enough. I’m quite pleased we’re away now for a couple of games now because sometimes when you’re away you can create that cause but when you’re at home, you can feel like the atmosphere’s edgy. We’ve lost four or five players with a song!
I’ll be honest, I put Matty Taylor on because I know they’ve got a song for him!"
That can't be serious? Picking players whom have a song about them.. ?
And this is a well thought of, up and coming manager? Jesus wept..

I really enjoy anything that brings those swamp dwelling creatures back down to reality.
My one and only wish however would be for Lansdown to pull the chain on that lot and flush all of that plastic franchise down the toilet u-bend.
Forever in your shadow guys(wink wink)

It says everything about fans and management full stop. A manager signs and watches the training, coaching and working ethic Mon-Fri, then on the Saturday picks him or not depending on him having a song dedicated to him by monority of supporters prepared to sing(probably kids)? OMG.

This time last year, all teds were practically on their knees for LJ, I would give a testicle to see rovers 13th in the championships.

When you’re under pressure it’s sometimes easier to play away than home esp with these fans who have the loyalty of a damselfly (very short!!). UTG!

By all means do it but don’t admit it in an interview. also sad that it’s a player with a song purely because he snaked out on us. They’re more interested in us than they are their own players. i can understand why LJ did it though as if the atmosphere is that bad, which wouldn’t surprise me, then there’s a big problem there. Just think how every player who joins (more or less) comments on how we get behind the team and truly act as a twelfth man. Darrell frequently tells us how important this is to the team. That said a single player isn’t going to be able to turn the tables. complaining about being 13th? That’s them down to the ground. They need a Paul buckle style manager to temper their expectations.

A desperate attempt by Johnson to deflect attention from his appalling run of results. I bet most of them now wish they hadn't signed Taylor and Johnson had just got the sack instead.

You're picking players or not on the basis of what you hear in a song (or not, if you don't hear a song), and think that's a credible reason to answer above you as to why you lost the match? A match many people watch, and a Club that entrust you to manage?

All over the country today at a variety of sporting events announcements were made that on the sound of the referees whistle a minutes silence would be held in honour of those who gave their lives for their country. The same thing happened at ashton gate, well not quite, after a few seconds they all started clapping. If this wasn't so sad it would be funny but I'm struggling to laugh to be honest. How difficult is it to show proper respect in the requested manner? Seriously ? What a set of utter ass wipes

Standard Teds. Couple of defeats and the "Johnson out" stuff starts. Their problem seems to be that they start the season well and then slide down. False hope kills them or at least confuses them. Whereas we start badly and improve. 😁

Showing respect is showing respect. No one gets to police how someone feels they should show respect for something. A spontaneous round of applause feels pretty respectful to me. Agree with this, not the thing to point-score over. Sure, they didn't do a minutes silence - it was probably a few idiots who decided clapping was a good idea, and instead of shouting "Shut up" at them and causing more disruption, it's easier to just clap along with it I guess.
