Started a thread on this a while ago. Could get rid of it temporarily by going off site and coming back but the pop ups always came back and it made the site unusable as you couldn’t get past. Funny thing was it was only on iPad. Windows laptop ok (and phone, Android). Have downloaded an adblocker that seems to have stopped it, just get a pleading request from Proboard to turn it off . Nah! Sort your sh** out Proboards and I may do, until then no chance. But agree...does need to be sorted properly. Just not sure how that is done though.

Clear cache.
Delete browser history.
Restart device.
It's nothing to do with proboards.

In Chrome, you can try going to:
>Settings
>Content Settings
>Block Pop-ups. - set to ON (obviously)
Worked for me.

So who is responsible then? Where’s it coming from? Spammers and scammers I guess. Fair enough but surely they (Proboards), even if it’s not their fault, have to make their site more resistant to this sort of activity if they want people to use it. Bit like the online Banks saying “sorry there are people out there who are trying to nick your money but it’s not our fault so we ain’t doing nothing about it” . If the customers get watered off they will go away, no matter who’s fault it is. Got to admit I am using it less now that I have been plagued with them, even with the adblocker helping. (Mind you the football ain’t helping.....😢)

I would like to remind people that my business offers a full computer service at vast discount to Rovers supporters.
This is a common problem we sort out all the time.

Download spybot search and destroy. Free software and the best anti virus/adware/spyware program I've ever used.

I don't use the web much at all, I literally only use about 3 or 4 sites most weeks and I haven't had any popups or issues with Gaschat.

Not an expert when it comes to IT, but all I know is that my android mobile and Windows laptop did not have any pop ups appear.

There's plenty of ad blocking software available for free. If you use chrome on windows use an extension called ublock origin. On android use blokada. No idea for iOS but I've heard ad blockers are available. Never get ads on here
