Don't think it matters which 5 are set to go , what other clubs will even look at the likes of Nichols Payne and co after the way they have gone about things for us . Can't see anyone coming in for any of this woeful current squad apart from locks maybe and that would only be based on his call ups for wales

Lockyer- think we would get a fee. Play Menayeses, spend on another Striker. Lines - poor, possibly loan him out. Payne - looks unfit, don't know what happened since first game of the season.
To be honest you could say the whole lot, Sercombe our stand out player for me and would fit in a better squad no problem and the keeper that isn't ours the only 2 I really rate.

Figures on Twitter were anywhere from 200k to 300k, then on top of that he would get a signing on fee lets say 50k and the wages we’d pay him 2/3k a week. A player of his age coming from a Prem club in 2018 would definitely not be on a pay as you play deal. Maybe. But he had no future at Huddersfield and would have been on thin ice looking for a club with his injury. I find it hard to believe we would pay six figures for a left back and would guess a nominal fee but it is only that, a guess. Cant have it all ways. Must mean all our transfer rumours are pure guesses including nichols.

Any 5 except not sercombe and sign 2 strikers and hope to god they are more of a goal threat than the 4 we have now.

Trim down the hoards of backroom jobsworths we've been getting in, this Widdrington guy (supposedly head of recruitment) should be gone first.
Playing staff wise, if we sell our best assets (lockyer/sercombe) it's the final nail, have we all not learnt that we have an inability to replace decent players.
Rodman/upson/payne are surely prime candidates.
We have this youth system, even now, let's bloody use Em, can't be any worse. Let's see the likes of Kelly, bagdhadi, Russe on a more regular basis. Youngsters with a point to prove, a place to earn. Maybe that will get these lacksidasical senior pros more on there toes. Geneuine competition for places.

Peterboro released the figure as £355k Unless both clubs agree a fee and disclose what it is its hearsay, mccanthony is after all a biased man with the huge ego and wants everyone to think his fee is correct. So in my view its bull.

Joe Martin - relatively easy ship out you’d think and introduce Holmes Dennis
Upson- bit of a journeyman, offers not a lot to a relegation dogfight as mk dons found out last season and you’d prob get a l2 team willing to take him
Nichols- other than us he’s been reasonably successful so might get even a small fee
Payne- apparently we’ve got a 100k offer for him already so cut losses there
Sinclair- model professional and love him to bits but he’d be my lamb to slaughter reckon someone would take him.
In return we would need x2 forwards of a proven ability. Dilemma is , 2 good forwards and we could beat anyone in this league

Shouldn't the question be which five should we keep. I notice virtually everyone has said Nichols, no league goal for 14 months.

Upson - we have plenty of CMs and I'd rather see Russe get a run of games. I don't dislike Upson but I'd rather his wages were spent elsewhere.
Martin - not our player and I hope by then THD will be fit enough to play and have Kelly as the other LB/LWB.
Leadbitter - saddens me to say as I like him, but he's been consistently underperforming for a while now and I prefer Partington, plus I feel between Locks, James Clarke and one or two Dev Squad players, we have enough backup to get us through, although I'd prefer Leads was replaced with someone better.
Payne - just not happened for him and his attitude has been questionable at times. I didn't particularly like his signing in the first place as it seemed a bit of a haphazard bodge after we missed our other targets.
Reilly - send him on loan to a Conference club to get him scoring goals again. I will, for my sins, say to persist with Nichols although he should be a squad player rather than first choice. At least one of the 4-5 we bring in should be another striker, and we should also give Deon Moore a try. What have we got to lose when none of our other strikers offer any goal threat anyway?

According to my sums the 5 players voted out in order of number of votes cast are:
Payne Nichols Upson Martin And one of either Bennett or Reilly or Smith

Completely agree re Sincs. He'll stand up and be counted and has been an integral part of getting us to the third tier, plus he's well known as a good egg, you won't get unprofessional behaviour from the Beard. I also imagine he isn't a high earner (compared to some of the signings who've come in over the last 18 months), so not even a significant gain on the balance sheet.
I'd be giving the kids a chance - Russe, Baghdadi, Menayese. They'll play their socks off as they have a point to prove. They can't be any worse than what we're seeing at times right now.

DC often says these things then you find a few youngsters have been off-loaded or sent out on loan. If any senior players are dispatched it says much about his recruitment because he probably signed them all!

DC said changes at the top end so I guess attacking midfielders and forwards. So I guess...
Nichols, Rodman, Matthews, Bennett and Reilly.
Nichols (3 goals in 70 approx appearances) must go. Rodman doesn't play enough and when he does, he doesn't really impress me. Matthews is a good player but I don't think DC likes him as doesn't play enough and when he does, he gets subbed off early. Bennett started his career with us brightly but this season he has gone downhill and pretty greedy. Frustrating to watch. Reilly hasn't been given a chance to show what he can do. Yet scored the same as Nichols this season who seems undropable.
I hope Jaks stays and starts every game like Nichols seems to do. I think Payne will unless DC finds a replacement big guy.

I just hope we have targets in mind already. Actually I hope we are already discussing with clubs to ship unwanted players out and discussing with clubs to bring in loans, so when the window opens.... Bang! 4/5 players out and 3 players in, all on day 1. All business done so we don't waste games in January with the same hand that we already have.

Agrees Sincs is probably our lowest paid 1st teamer and play in a number of positions/will die for the shirt we really need to move on the big ticket earners, Craig (or Locks), Rodman, Payne, Upson & Nichols, I assume Martin was only signed to January so he'll be released. DC also needs to sort out the goalie position as we don't need Smith & Slocombe plus Bonham or AN Other if he's recalled. Plus there's Mensah who can't be good enough for Div 1 if he can't get game time in Div 2. Worryingly it seems we need to release all our recent signings and keep the, mainly, Conference/Div 2 players!
