I’m not sure we can simply off load these players can we, aren’t they under contract? Would it mean putting them up for sale? If so, who can you see buying them? And for how much? Football is a confidence game. There is a good squad here, playing with none because we don’t score For me we go all out to either buy a lower league striker or a young Prem/championship lad on loan The boards intentions will be seen soon, I just pray we aren’t doomed by Jan and in free fall. The current players need to keep us in with a chance by picking up points between now and then, my worry is confidence is shot and it won’t matter who we try and off load as it will be too late! Im sorry, but i have to strongly disagree...There isn't a good squad here at all. Totally lopsided and lacking a dominant centre back, a couple of quality full backs, width in midfield AND goalscorers. I’m sure we could have a good squad with the 1,476 players you have identified Pirate but we have what we have, my point is I don’t think we are too many players short of a squad capable of keeping us up. And my other point is ( I admit I know nothing about it, maybe you could help Pirate) how do you go about shifting players out when they are under contract? I hear everyone saying Payne, Nichols, Bennett, Upson, Rodman.... but surely these players must have at least 6 months to a year left?

I dont know the ins and outs about going about it in terms of the legal aspect, but a couple of options are putting them up for transfer and informing every club in the bottom two divisions and some in the National League that they are available. You could also pay up the remaining months/years left of their contracts, but I can't see that happening. For what it is worth, I think we are probably 4 or 5 good players at this level short of keeping us up.

It’s all about opinions. I just happen to think we aren’t a bad side on paper, the problem seems to be too many under performing. I would target a young hungry striker and a big centre half and I think we are in with a shout of staying up. My biggest concern is losing Locks, Sercs and the goalkeeper. Then we are doomed.

Any of 6 or 7 of the squad out apart from Sercombe/Lockyer and try to keep Bonham. I'm not sure about the restrictions you've indicated, but any of the following players in on a loan or permanent basis if possible: Right Backs; Tom James (Yeovil), Jordan Williams (Barnsley), Aaron Lewis (Swansea), Tariq Lamptey (Chelsea), Aitor Bunuel (Racing Santander), Juanjo Nieto (Hercules), Juho Hyvarinen (RoPS) Centre Backs; Cian Bolger (Fleetwood), Jon Guthrie (Walsall), Sam Hughes (Leicester), Cian Harries (Swansea), Marc Guehi (Chelsea), Zech Medley (Arsenal), Kyle Howkins (West Brom), Israel Puerto (CD Mirandes). Central Midfielders; Mark Sykes (Glenavon), Bryn Morris (Shrewsbury), Ryan Yates (Nottingham Forest), Alessandro Mastalli (Juve Stabia), Alessio Miceli (Feralpisalo), Nick Brisevac (Eintracht Norderstedt) Wingers; Arvin Appiah (Nottingham Forest), Stephen Walker (Middlesbrough), Bright Osayi Samuel (QPR), Charlie Kirk (Crewe), Harry Forrester (Tractor Sazi), Marcus Mendler (Saarbrucken), Accursio Bentivegna (Carrarese). Strikers; Niall Ennis (Wolves), Rushian Hepburn-Murphy (A Villa), Danny Loader (Reading), Aaron Connolly (Brighton), Adam Idah (Norwich), Elias Sorensen (Newcastle), Aldin Turkes (Rapperswil-Jona), Rufat Dadashov (Prussian Munster), Valmir Suljemani (Waldorf Mannheim). Heard rumours Portsmouth will be signing him (£500k) as Millwall are likely to recall Ben Thompson

Without knowing what our budget is, this is a waste of time really and you get people giving unrealistic names. Maybe we need to use the loading market more effectively? 2 of Doncaster's best players yesterday (Number 7 Wilks and number 15 Kane) are on loan from Leeds and Livepool respectively.
My concern with DC is we seem to be making the complete opposite sorts of signings that worked before. We seem to be getting too many players on the way down rather than up and coming.

Yes he is very good, and fits the criteria of having scored against us recently (twice)

Trouble is you literally couldn’t give some of our players away, let alone expect clubs to pay a fee for Payne, Upson and Rodman

pointless getting anyone on loan. we cant afford bench fodder. boils my p1ss that payne cant be ar5ed and yet is always picked yet last season telford sat on the bench all season and jakubiak is likely to do the same this season. if they arent deemed good enough for the 1st team then dont get them in on loan to begin with. i would personally keep nicholls but play him as an attacking mid just sat behind 2 tall strikers who can score Tbh I’m not sure I see a lack of effort from Payne, not in the last couple of months anyway. I think he’s trying - I just don’t think he’s particularly good.
