Perhaps you’ve failed to notice but we have different owners than we did 18 years ago now? He has probably burned his bridges though. His latest comments on the post are significantly watered down on what he said before so perhaps he’s interested no i noticed - it was the comment "if we had too" ...like we would be doing him a favor hahaha Yeah he has passion like DC but on the next level up, so maybe he has burnt them. Can you imagine his reaction to Payne after he called the travelling gas wankers .... ?? If he got the job today, I would book a hotel in Newcastle now and be there Saturday. Watching the Holloway side was the best period of supporting rovers (highs & lows).. this season and last has been dull, drab boring sh**. UTG I'm with you on that one

Forget Holloway, more chance of Elvis getting the job. Former loanee Elvis Hammond? Perfect appointment to get our strikers scoring.

I seem to remember Cotterill was announced as our manager once before... The story back then was that Holloway had allegedly stuck his oar in and told the board not to hire him as he was a bad egg. I was disappointed as I thought Cotterill was a good fit back then after his success at Cheltenham. I can't remember who got the job instead...

I think it was post Ray Graydon so would have been Ian Atkins. I look forward to returning to those glory days

I look forward to returning to those glory days Sounds about right, I thought it was Graydon at first but he was unanimously a popular appointment (including with myself) - look how that one turned out! To be fair to Atkins though we could do with some of his 'magic' this season I fear. He brought in some decent enough players in that run-in to keep us up. Danny Williams and Ali Gibb in particular. We'll be lucky to see that sort of spirit and commitment this time round.

From that list I would like Warburton.Known for playing a slick passing game, probably holding out for a Championship club and wouldn’t touch us with a barge pole though. Cotterel- No thanks, absolute bell and would be as popular as Buckle if he didn’t turn us around immediately.Too divisive with the sh** connection.

I saw Cotterill at temple meads on 6th November. He was wearing a hoodie but I recognised him. Didn’t think anything of it with him probably being fairly local. Would hate to think he was meeting our superiors that day

Why all the "not Cotterill comments" is it just because he managed Bristol Sport 1982 ltd that share their ground with the Bears?

Why all the "not Cotterall comments" is it just because he managed Bristol Sport 1982 ltd that share their ground with the Bears? For me it's coz he comes across as a bit of a twat. Obviously I don't know him, and never been managed by him, but he reminds me of Mick Channon shouting, 'More men in the box!'

But, yeah, I will back him like I chose him, if he becomes manager. Some of the best managers who ever lived have been twats, to be fair.

He made a comment about "Rag ass Rovers" whilst managing City, plus in general he seems to have got a reputation as a bit of a twat and has a poor temperament characterised by his interview style which is very ungracious and disagreeable.
