Yeah if you have to be somewhere really that important like your daughters Christmas play or something fair enough but loads of people are obsessed with beating traffic for the sake of it. If it’s just to get home then what does 15 minutes or so matter. It’s a long life ( hopefully ) and last minute winners are one of the greatest things in life. People should arrive and leave when they please, it really isn't up to you or anyone one else to censure their choices. Of course it’s not up to me what other people do ffs. I’m just giving my opinion on this thread. Like I said if it’s for an important reason fair enough but lots of people are obsessed with not getting stuck in traffic or beating the rush. I’d quite happily sit in traffic for 20 minutes if I’d just seen a last minute winner. Unless I had to be somewhere more important.

Very rare I leave before the end, but I had to leave early yesterday as I was taking the family to the Pantomime last night. Thankfully, I managed to see the winning goal before legging it to the car. Did you look behind you?

The traffic excuse is a particularly lame one to be fair. If all people are thinking about in the second half is what time they are going to leave, why bother in the first place? Stay at home, then you’ll be home much earlier. You wouldn’t go to the cinema and leave ten minutes before the end would you? If you weren't enjoying the entertainment why wouldn't you leave early...although at the cinema you might wait rather than upset those who were enjoying it, because getting out is more disruptive than leaving a football match. The same applies if you have a ticket in one of the seated areas; unless of course you are on the end of a row

Only ever left one match early, the Mansfield game, when the 5 minutes extra time was announced I decided to go, to upset to stay, we could have had three weeks of extra time and not scored that day, walking down Muller Road to my car wondering how far we had fallen!

Why do you do it? Do you not understand/feel football at all? By the way the final score was 2-1 With all the issues surrounding the club right now, is this really worth macaroning your pants over?I’m happy for the people turning out in the current situation, let alone how long they stay for!!! Macaroning? What ever that means I don’t think I am, as you so eloquently put it, doing that to my pants. I am simply and genuinely curious about why people leave early when the game is on such a knife edge. Not that it would be for me, but I can understand why people might leave with five mins to go or even at half time if we were 0-4 down or even 4-0 up for that matter. From my point of view it would be like watching a film with a cliffhanger ending but not watching the last ten minutes, or reading a book and leaving the last chapter out - not that I read much fiction... other than on here of course. i don’t usually post much let alone start threads, especially anything controversial, but this seems to have stirred up quite some emotion, I can only think that it must simply be due to the written word’s inability to fully illustrate the tone of many comments on here. I wish. All Gasheads a a Merry Christmas and Happy new year .....regardless of whether you leave early Or stay to the final whistle 😉

I weren’t even going to go after I done Christmas shopping in town I thought f**k it but gone on the bus back home from town off at Filton ave and took shoppping home then changed my mind st 3pm walked back upto the ave only to hear a muffled cheer and my mate then texting me 1-0 down , got to gate of the east terrace and as soon as stepped foot through the gate 1-1 ;lucky charm I am . I went into the blackthorn end after half time and got a bit carried away with the winner and somehow ended up on the pitch and one of the yellow coats trying mount me and mud all over me brand new daps lol UTG

(Thought twice about which emoji to use there)

Alternatively,if your a bit of a doddery old fart like me,wait 10 minutes after the final whistle and you can enjoy a non push and jostle fest exiting the north bank and a pleasant amble back to the car in peace!

Yes let's have ago at the supporters that pay their money to watch, surly it's up to them if they leave early or not to beat the traffic, I always walk to the other end 5 minutes before the end and sometimes leave with a couple of minutes to go, I'll do what I want and if I miss a goal that's my problem
