Well one thing's for sure, he will not be able to commute to either of those clubs.

Newport would suit him better.

He'd still be here if he wasn't so stubborn
Can't help feeling he's cut off his nose to spite his face
Why couldn't he play a settled team
Why couldn't he see beyond Nicholls
I get he was frustrated at the stadium / training ground but keep achieving on the pitch and the rest HAS to follow
He's not the chairman his job was to win football matches and post the Christmas run it appears the squad have that in them - how can Coughlan and 6-8,000 gas see what he couldn't
What could have been eh?
I wish him luck because we all owe him that token but
What could have been?

He's an available manager proven at L2 level. He will show in any next manager odds at that level until he gets another job.
Looking at our own odds its clear they're full of sh**.

I guess the BP have just made this up, DC would be mad to jump from one club run by difficult foreign owners to another in Oldham, and who in there right minds would want to move to Carlisle from anywhere south of Manchester?
DC may as well wait for the Yeovil job if he's prepared to manage a Div 2 side.
As the other poster suggested if he does take a Div 2 job then why throw his dummy out here, when it hardly seems the worse job in football management.

Reckon he’ll end up at Yeovil when Way gets the sack.

That being said perhaps it was impossible for DC to do what seemed so simple because he couldn't see the wood for the trees anymore? He had quite clearly lost his passion to succeed at Rovers and needed a new challenge.

Carlisle I'll give you but the Lake District perhaps?

Is the Chesterfield job still vacant? Close to his roots, nice ground, ought to be in L2 or L1.

Why go to Yeovil? They're at the right level (if not exceeding it) as it is. I think he'd want to go to a sleeping giant and progress them. Especially after throwing his toys out of the pram over our facilities.
Perhaps a Notts County, Swindon Town (board situations aside). Or for local connections to Mansfield Grimsby/Lincoln/Mansfield themselves although two of them are doing alright.

Seeing some of the uninspiring names supposedly in the frame for our job makes me want DC back here already!

I would have thought Notts C was a perfect fit for DC but it looks like they are going for Sheridan.
