Is anyone on here really surprised it is the same every year, when we almost got to the championship we signed two young kids Stewart and wolleaston when two experienced midfield pro s would have got us up, I love the club but we are tin pot. Totally get what you're saying. For me though, failure to bring in a striker in the next 30 minutes would top that and arguably be the lowest point yet on that front. I always feel like nothing would surprise me when it comes to the Gas, but offloading Payne and Bennett and not signing a single striker (so not only failing to strengthen, but arguably weakening) would be utterly astonishing. I agree, not normally a basher but how can I not agree. We are f**ked unless we sign a forward or two in the next 23mins

Rose tinter goggles are off now. Benefit of the doubt was given, nothing received in return.

Either we have signed someone and the club are enjoying the meltdown from us all until they break the news at 11pm or same old disappointment in a transfer window and we've signed no fire power.

Mo eisa still hasn’t gone anywhere city wanted him out on loan Don’t think Pantsdown will want to do us any favours. Your prop right but I think rovers are milking this till the last min surely they wouldn’t to that if it was someone bang average.

Starting to think they got rid of DC to facilitate this cull, could you imagine DC facing the press after losing 6 players and signing another midfielder to go with our other 12. It really is truly amazing you 'll be telling me next Donald Trump is usa president and we ain't ready after 2,5 years for a no deal Brexit. I might have to prepare myself for a BR EXIT when they want their £390 for league 2 football.

Knowing us, we'll balls up the paperwork and the signing will be announced on Saturday as having gone through because we faxed one of those deal sheets through before 11pm declaring our intention to complete the signing.

Sunderland have made some great signings today. They just signed Will Grigg. No way will we beat them in the micky mouse cup. Will be an embarrassing defeat I feel.

I think everyone is going to be a brown tinter tomorrow if they can't get a striker in after 31 days notice. What possible defence can our dear owners have for decimating the squad and putting next to nothing back in? Once again I am reminded of Buckle and the outrage over his lowering of expectations remark. Wael and co have achieved that with barely a murmur. A masterclass in taking a club on the up back to where it came from.

If we don't manage to sign any forward players, I will look forward with interest to the excuses. In my mind there can be no excuses at all. Other teams at the bottom have signed players. Other teams in the West country have signed players so the weather can't be an excuse. We've freed up some wages by letting some players leave, so the the old "wage cap" chestnut can't be an excuse either.

Really think the owners want us to go down to lower the wage bill, and start again. Really can’t belive we signed another central defender that will put Rollin further down the pecking order great bit of business that, as for a striker if we get a couple of injuries of the front players , then we really have had it
