If we don't manage to sign any forward players, I will look forward with interest to the excuses. In my mind there can be no excuses at all. Other teams at the bottom have signed players. Other teams in the West country have signed players so the weather can't be an excuse. We've freed up some wages by letting some players leave, so the the old "wage cap" chestnut can't be an excuse either. As it stands we are in the relegation zone, 3 strikers with 5 goals between them on our books and 10 minutes of the window left. Just let that sink in for a moment. How many other clubs have let themselves end up with only 3 strikers on their books, much less a forward line containing just 5 goals. Honestly, it sounds like a club being purposely run into the ground. Lansdown himself couldn't have done a better job if he was in charge.

I think everyone is going to be a brown tinter tomorrow if they can't get a striker in after 31 days notice. What possible defence can our dear owners have for decimating the squad and putting next to nothing back in? Once again I am reminded of Buckle and the outrage over his lowering of expectations remark. Wael and co have achieved that with barely a murmur. A masterclass in taking a club on the up back to where it came from. Mate, we're all annoyed about what's going on but you seem to be rolling in the misery 😄 I'm fuming at my local club being a pathetic shell of an entity. For a club that had the 6th biggest average attendance to be put out to pasture like we are....it's despicable, it really is.

Wael surely must be embarrassed to call himself president of this s**t show of his family's own making?

Pictures on Twitter of Wael saying to a supporter they're here to stay. They'll be very very unwelcome if some good news doesn't come through before midnight passes.

If new owners came in and relegated him to "Head of Boardroom catering" I wonder if this honorary Gashead would still be at the club... Honestly, it makes my skin crawl how we carried him down Gloucester road.

Is anyone on here really surprised it is the same every year, when we almost got to the championship we signed two young kids Stewart and wolleaston when two experienced midfield pro s would have got us up, I love the club but we are tin pot. Totally get what you're saying. For me though, failure to bring in a striker in the next 30 minutes would top that and arguably be the lowest point yet on that front. I always feel like nothing would surprise me when it comes to the Gas, but offloading Payne and Bennett and not signing a single striker (so not only failing to strengthen, but arguably weakening) would be utterly astonishing. To add insult to injury we let Payne sign for one of our relegation rivals. Even the most pessimistic Gashead wouldn't have forecast today being this bad.

If memory serves, last January the signings we made were so late they weren’t announced until the morning?... so if I wake up to no signings I’ll be fuming, GC can f**k off, the owners can f**k off, everyone can f**k off and f**k this Dam club.. so f**k off..... but I’ll keep my cool until then

Absolutely pathetic transfer window from us. Utterly abysmal. Weaker now than before January. A shambles.

What a joke.
Understand we can still sign players who are unattached etc but if no one else wants them then why would we?
A whole transfer window has gone by where it has been painfully obvious that we needed a striker. We are now weaker than before the month started. Absolute joke.
