Alot of players need to feel loved and wanted by club and fans. Lets hope our new signings become instant heros and galvanise the fanbase and team. Nichols just needs a few goals! Im sure Thd will continue to improve and in these 17 games bonham has lots of clean sheets. Just Ashame we didnt get a left winger in.

Interesting that we didn’t pay a fee for either of them.

Thats what i said, its not possible? you have told us all he is crap so its not possible that they wanted him is it? The only other possible explanation is that even in this day and age some players want to play and be first choice.

I assume Sunderland will be able to play their £4million pound man in the Checkatrade semi as he was a Championship player and we won't be able to play our two new free signings assuming they have played for Coventry in the competition this season.

I'm sure they were. This bit was interesting... Mark Robins: “I couldn’t stand in Jonno’s way either because of the contract that he’s earned, which is outstanding for him and allows him to develop his life off the field as well,” he said. “It’s a deal that sets him up. “The players that have gone haven’t been in the team of late and it just became clear that they would need to play and the window presented us with opportunities to move on and we’re left with the players that we have.” Why is that bit interesting?

Very true and the vocal majority have stuck by Nichols and we’re seeing now what sticking by your players can achieve when you do that. He was unplayable on tuesday , hopefully it won’t tske Harris as long to get going though , time isn’t something we’ve got.

I just thought it was interesting that we had gone all out for a striker that has never scored double figures in a season (with a best return of 8 goals) and offered a contract that has "set him up" and "allows him to develop his life off the field."

Looks like Johnson, Clarke & Harris should all be able to suit up.

Clearly it sounds as if our manager rates him and has offered him a good deal to match. Managers make it or break it on their signings and we’ve got no idea how Coughlan is going to get on. We’ve just got to hope for the best , which to be fair is what all supporters do. He knows him and has worked with him before so it’s more than just a stab in the dark.

Plus law of averages alone suggests me must be due a good striker signing!!

But obviously the "set him up" thing was pure deflection by robins as coventry fans are pointing out that all their strikers left at the club are rather small. I mean we already know from many posters including yourself that our owners will not spend any money and in fact are making massive cuts in the budget so its laughable to suggest we were setting up the lad for life. Its beyond comical to even entertain that thought. Clearly we should been out bidding sunderland for grigg or paying £650k for pitman or maybe a tad more to land the orient lad? What coughlan has actually done is sign 2 players he liked that fell within his budget once bennett and payne departed. If your correct and he has made a mistake then were in even more trouble than we are at the moment.

Give it a rest FFS and just support the manager.

Umm he only became available @ 8:30 PM on transfer deadline day... not a lot of "all out" involved i would suggest
