Pirate is he receptive to your suggestions and does he give feedback? Or does he cut and paste 😂😂😂 He seemed to be quite receptive at first, but I haven't heard back from him in a while. Have they ever played for Coventry?

Building a team to fight relegation or promotion is like building a jigsaw. Sometimes one signing can change the entire team. The new lad just might click with Nichols and he might start scoring, who knows?

Well our last minute desperate Coventry rejects seem to be doing something right - toughening up the midfield, winning balls in the air, running the channels, bringing others into the game, improving the whole team - oh I nearly forgot....... scoring goals. Well done GC TW and Wael.

Yes, good to see the "pillocks" on page one for what they are.

If this is all we can muster up then we’re down. Raiding Coventry reserves what have we come to. Appears this is one many got wrong. In fairness initially appeared to be less overwhelming than Payne, who arrived from a good Shrewsbury team and was MotM in his first two games. JHC however seems to have the right attitude to go with his talent. At first I thought he was too heavy but 6 or 7 games in his fitness looks better and the team's confidence massively improved as there is a belief that we will score. Therefore keep a clean sheet and we will win games. We still need Nicholls to score but he is playing well and we are winning. The two look like they have a decent partnership building.

I had my doubts when we signed him although I was convinced he'd be an upgrade on Payne so I wasn't that disappointed. It just goes to show that you don't always have to sign "proven" profilic goalscorers, sometimes you buy ones with the potential and then make them the goalscorer you need. JCH seems to be doing it all himself but I'd imagine some man management and fresh surroundings is helping him.

Tom Eaves is out of contract in the summer. If we could stay up, can you imagine Eaves & JCH as an attacking force?

My guess would be that he’s also enjoying being the ‘main man’ upfront here and the focal point of our attack in every single game - where as at Cov it sounded like he was often playing second/third fiddle to the other forwards there. That’s got to do wonders for a player’s confidence. Thankfully he seems to relish the pressure of being the man to keep us up with his goals.

Although the value of your top goalscorer in a relegation battle can't be understated, I think Gills were mad to reject the £1.5/2m bid from Sunderland in January. Out of contact in the summer and realistically has hit his ceiling. Would I have him? Probably not, didn't think he troubled us at all last night and has seemingly been off the boil for a while now.

Personally I disagree, without Eaves they'd be right down in the dumpsters. His service was appalling last night, he was a stand out player in a bad team for me. Although I didn't know Sunderland bid that much in January. Makes a mockery even more of our previous transfer business: Harrison, Bodin & Taylor ffs

He tried getting bakayoko as well 😂😂 Almost forgot we went in for Bakayoko. Imagine trying to sign that absolute donkey! Deary me. What sort of clowns have we got running our recruitment? Utterly pathetic. I suppose the sort of clowns that liase with the manager and know what's needed to fit into the squad in terms of psychology and ability. I personally would have bombed Craig out, as he didn't look a good fit to me but GC has built a defensive team around him and lockyer and it works.
