Hate to say it, but it was awful. Was really looking forward to it. Wish I'd had the soup to start as the 3 pieces of lettuce, 1 with a small bit of cheese in it, 1 with 2 small anchovies in it and 1 with something else in it, was pathetic. As for the main, choice was pork or beef. Chose pork. It was literally all fat. My Father had beef and it was as tough as old boots. Pudding was cake.
The only interesting point was a table there had curry. Huge pot of curry, pilau rice and chips. Not sure how they managed to get that but I wish they'd offered that to me as an option rather than the stuff I got.
Shame as this is the first bad experience in a long long time in hospitality. Hoping this was just a one off.

Doesn't sound as though the new catering manager has got off to a good start!

Doesn't sound as though the new catering manager has got off to a good start! I really don't like complaining so I hope that this all part of the process, just a shame I/we got the bad day yesterday.

The pasty I had yesterday was overcooked and dry. Quite honestly the worst I've ever tasted at the Mem.

I echo the above comment, I almost broke a tooth on my first bite of pasty. To be fair to the staff in the hut when I took it back they had a look for a decent one but they were pretty much all overcooked! I wasn't going to post it on here but seeing as I wasn't the only one looks like there may be a catering problem at the Mem.

Did you make comment to the staff at the time? What response did you get from them?

It was disgusting, took it back & the the story I got was that they all had to be cooked from frozen. Whether that should make a difference to the quality, I don't know. After that, I assumed that the p**s poor performance was due to a problem warming the players up - missed the bus & got soaked through after too
