Put into receivership by the high court which could see them face a points deduction of 12 points.

That would put them on 35 . Could be another in the relegation scrap.

Sad for the club and supporters as it’s entirely about the owner. It’s not like they’ve gone into receivership for chucking money into chasing a dream

Won't it be taken off from the start of next season if it's imposed?

As long as they don't decide to expunge their results!

This is a very sad situation. Football should be more understanding.
The wrong people are being punished.

If any club needs docking points it's Bolton

I’m pretty sure most Blackpool supporters will be delighted with this, this is about getting their club back and not league position currently.

Having read more on this, it’s seems Blackpool supporters aren’t treating this as a bad thing at all.
This means an end of the Oyston family’s association with Blackpool and the club can now start to hope for better times. Some already predicting a packed out crowd for the first game without the Oyston’s in charge. Even the 12 point deduction would still put them clear of the relegation places and recent form would suggest they will have no problem beating the drop.
Every cloud has a silver lining.

That's assuming Oyston now gives up, you fear he'd sooner see Blackpool disappear than accept defeat. It's amazing with that going on in the background that on the pitch that they almost won at Sunderland last night to go 7th.

They love that Belokon guy (despite him being sketchy as hell himself) because he seems to have spelled the end of the Oystons. I agree they would gratefully accept relegation to get their club back...still wouldn't wish it on them though. They haven't screwed the likes of us over through their dealings, we have done it to ourselves and I hope we prove we are good enough to get out of it than getting a surprise gift of a Blackpool points deduction. Although as a poster said above I guess it would be effective from next season now anyway.

What I can't believe is that Blackpool are run on a shoestring under those idiots. They could barely field a squad in pre-season a year or so ago because the owners wouldn't fund any signings. Total rag bag outfit and yet they have put our transfer dealings to total shame. Get rid of Widdrington and get in whoever is head of scouting recruitment at Blackpool! I accept they are in a good catchment area though which undoubtedly helps

I did think that myself. Although it just doesn’t sound right does it? Nobody ever says “we’ve had a points reduction”.
