Preston. 1989. Artificial pitch and a half time protest by them. I remember that one too, think we won 1-0. Mehew scoring. Problem wrong though

FA Cup 4th round v Derby County Baseball Ground. Mid-week evening match about 1975 lost 0-2. Think bad weather postponed the Saturday match.

Either Trashton or Cardiff. Went to both on the train from Ashley Down with neighbour Desmond Tippets who was a few years older than me. I was about 9 or 10 - must have been late 50s.

Yep,I went on the Rovers train to that one, brilliant day out.Terry Cooper played sweeper and took the water out of their forwards at times.Previous round we were 4-0 up at Preston at h/t and ended up clinging on for a 4-3 win! Great times.

Technically mine was Eastville as my dad took me once to see Rovers Vs West Ham, on Muller Rd terrace. May 1980 - 2-0 hammers win. Last game of season.
Also took me once to City Vs Hammers, probably 80/81 ish?
First proper away game, as an 'adult' & Gashead was Reading in Nov 1989. FA cup replay. Draw AET, leading to a THIRD game, back at Twerton! And football players today complain about too many games 😂

I vividly remember a 6:1 Anglo Scottish defeat at AG in ‘78. That tw@t Garland got on his hands and knees to head one in. Fkin seething, I still have a bit of an issue with people who have curly / wavey hair. Somerton Park ‘82

We were packed into the pens on the terracing behind the goal like sardines. It was extremely dangerous as more fans were crammed into these pens than should have. When we scored it was bedlam ! You were carried forward in the surge with no contact between feet and terracing.

I thought he did play for them that day. He definitely played for Hamburg in the final but thought he moved to Southampton in the summer of 1980 and we played them in 81.

But the cup game (same result) was ‘81 so he may well have played for them. Isn’t google wonderful😂😂😂

Seems plenty of us oldies remember going to away games by trains hired by the supporters club. Those were the days!

Must have been for Newcastle.

Bolton in the FA Cup 4th Round 1968/69? We won 2-1. I think we struggled to beat Kettering in the 3rd Round after a replay. We drew Everton away in the 5th Round & the game was off due to weather I think, so we went into the hat for the QF & drew Man U. Unfortunately we lost 1-0 at Everton 😩
